Well slight advantage to the Witches I reckon but would suggest no one gets cocky as we all remember 2023!! Not a great night for Emil he was slow away and lacked speed - Jason had a couple of those rides that remind you what a top rider he is!

One of two really good races tonight - thought Dan T did well considering he was in the main body of the team and had to face Zach twice DanB  and Brady in his 4 rides!!

pleased for Jason Edwards too a decent performance to outshine his opposite number!

enjoyed it anyway and looking forward to Thursday!

Emil couldn’t get off the start and I don’t know why but the track was poor tonight and if you were behind against the top guys you ain’t catching them

Just now, TTT said:

You could give BV double points in this race and it won't make a difference after the 30 Heats have been completed.

Rider loyalty has cost BV.

Oh Well....

Theres always next year.....:D

Whatever next year will look like!!!

To be honest, given how poor the Aces are (their bottom three must be close to being riders 26th, 27th and 28th of the 28 riders left in the play offs), I am amazed Ipswich didn't beat them comfortably, let alone actually lose to them, and I sure many Ipswich fans must have some concern about coming up against either of the other teams who have much greater strength in depth...

Sheffield and Leicester must have watched and gained confidence.

Weather forecast suggests some light rain on Thursday.

Could that eliminate Ipswich's home track advantage?

They’ve been messing around with the track the last six weeks or so, purposely preparing it differently each time to experiment according to the manager, to find a sweet spot for all the riders going in to these play offs. Of course when it rains, all that goes out of the window.

As for the tie, if we don’t make it through from here we deserve to win absolutely nothing. That’s the simple truth of it.

Doyle was terrific and a pleasure to watch.

He always is....

A shame the racing was poor tonight, as the four World Class riders never really had the chance to show their capability...

Heats 13 and 15 being the two stand out races whereby fourth wasn't almost a straight behind first..

Tie over. Well done Ipswich. Did more than a job on us tonight. We just didn’t show up, only Zach Dan and brandy did

track was a shocker today. Poorest meeting I’ve seen here this season that. But the amount of rain that fell probably played a part.

oh well, time for hibernation. See y’all in march

On another night Zach would have got heat 15.

No surprise at all ive been saying all season carrying Blodorn and with the two reserves we have we wouldnt get past the semi finals and also think if Ben Cook had,nt been injured Kings Lynn could have got the play off place instead of us. I was surprised at the Witches fans who were worried about this meeting, we were never going to be a threat we were easily the weakest of the four teams, Lemon made no changes went with what he had and it was always going to bite him like this. Im going for a Witches v Tigers final although i would like to see Lions win it.

Well you’re not are you Mike? Behave, nobody is buying that nonsense. You’ve only lost once at home this year, to Ipswich in the cup first meeting. The closest anyone has come since, was the draw, again against Ipswich.

Nobody was tipping an Ipswich victory today. A six point defeat is an excellent result.

We were poo last week at home. Wouldn’t give up hope yet if I were you. Pray for rain.

I’ve said from last year King needs replacing and I standby that even now.

Was well worth his team place this year so disagree. Comfortably upped his average and been consistent.

Next year though, different kettle of fish now his average has risen again close to the 7 mark but that’s a discussion for a few weeks time when this season is done.

Really?

Four of the six points lead came from a Blodorn and Mulford 5-1..

Let that sink in....

Beating Danny King!!!

As I say, the Aces are a four man team, with three of the worst riders left in the competition making up the septet...

And still, you couldn't beat them, even with a recent British Champion at reserve!!!

Dan T is sadly exposed at second string away from home, (apart from Leicester maybe?) and Adam Ellis needs to do the job Dan T did when at reserve (covering the middle order)..

Danny King, as we know, can have horrible nights, especially when the pressure is on, and if Dan T and Ellis are not on it, then that pressure will 100% be on him..

From being a "shoe in" for the title, I now think both the Lions and the Tigers will be fancying their chances massively against the Witches..

So what your saying, if I'm reading this right, nobody was tipping Ipswich tonight because Belle Vue are unbeatable at home apart from the two times out of 3 Ipswich have rode there 🤣.   The result was as expected, I said 49-41 before the meeting.

Well... Jason Doyle on the exit from turn 2 with a motorbike wasn't a Cluedo tonight... I'll take that.

Kings Lynn were never making the playoffs with that septet!  No #1 ..two past it but entertaining (can't gate) former GP riders & the enigma that is R,3,2,0,R Kilndt.

Yes, really. It’s clear what you’re trying to do here Mike and it isn’t working. The result isn’t what you were hoping for tonight, and it’s obviously stung a little.

No. What I’m saying is nobody was tipping Ipswich to win this meeting, unless I missed it? And yet now Mike is saying we should have pi$$ed it because you’re so cr@p. We were all told ad nauseam that the only reason you lost in the very first meeting, was because you “always start slow every year and get caught cold”. The two league meetings since were a draw (when you weren’t at full strength), and a 14 point home win which was more typical of an Ipswich performance at the NSS in recent years.

Probably as expected. The Witches even not on full form can still push the weakest team in the play offs to a last heat decider. The Aces bottom 4 have been awful for most of the season. The reserves could have been changed before Tates average dropped to give them at least a better chance. Lemons faith in the reserves has cost them big time.

The witches still have to do the job on Thursday and of course anything can happpen and the Aces have been able to step up under pressure in past play offs.

Given that some Aces fans have already given up after tonight 🙄 I suppose they will be telling us to write us off at your peril if they pull it back.

Lets face it it will be a huge shock if they do progress.

Imagine being poor all season but hanging on to the hope that “these are only qualifiers” and “we know Belle Vue turn up in the play offs” oh dear oh dear. Only a 6 point lead.

All jokes aside, I still am fearful we will do something stupid like rely on King to get points and he ends up with 2 points and all of a sudden it’s squeaky bum time!
