Sounds like of there's no buyers for Ippo and Sheffield BSPL are going to run them as back stop "owners" maybe? Either that, or the UK Government has stepped in to avert a crisis using confiscated Russian assets as collateral. Why else would Starmer have been meeting the Belgian PM today, hours before the BSPL announcement?😂 Edited Friday at 10:23 PM by Hamish McRaker 1

I'm not convinced that's going to happen Still more questions than answers at this stage

Even Six teams in a "Top League" of a "National Sport" will look exactly like it looks... ie. A waste of time, and a waste of yet another year that could have seen some sense, and forward planning brought to the sport.. All this will do is reduce crowds further... But. At least riders can double up... So. That's got to be worth paying around thirty quid next year to watch them do it..

Even now, when they have just FIVE teams, they still will put out the same old/same old "Barry White" that has led thousands to no longer attend... They deserve the attendances, publicity, and financial reward, that they get... Edit. I presume with only 35 riders needed, there won't be any guests, or RR next year? Ah, but they are far-sighted! The rise of the economically inactive over-55's and Gen Z's aversion to night clubs and alcohol will mean Monday night becoming the new Saturday night🤫

RR is using declared riders of the team so what is wrong with that or are you saying injuries are not allowed? Or maybe you are simply over reacting.

If anything has been said I've not seen it. Either the owners will have to willingly reinstate the track or the Lea Valley Park will have to force them. I'd say Mildenhall is the most likely if its not Northampton

With so few riders needed there will be a surplus so having a few "on stand by" should mean seven rider teams can be delivered without the need for RR and Guests.. The whole sport in the UK is ran solely so riders can ride as much as they can, therefore I am sure those without a DU position will be pleased to fill in where required... If it doesn’t, we’d have heard more concrete news on a new track if they have a currently guaranteed 5 starters. Waiting game goes on unfortunately. Edit: what I will say though, is the current five shouldn’t be completing their teams just yet. They should all have a collective responsibility to help a possible sixth team come to the party and be competitive. If that means a certain team not including a rider they wanted, so be it. It’s no good bringing a sixth team in late in the day, and everyone else has hoovered up the worthwhile riders that still want to ride here leaving that team trying to cobble together a team of misfits. They’ll inevitably finish bottom, the crowds won’t come and it obviously won’t end up being successful. Someone will always finish bottom yes, but you don’t want to see anyone bottom and totally uncompetitive and getting a hiding every week. They need to try and make all six (if it is to be six) as equally matched as possible. Edited Saturday at 07:13 AM by Aries

What I don’t want to see again is a rider who filled the number one spot for a struggling side get poached to fill a number three role for an established team. The bigger picture needs to be adopted by all.

Seven point averages that they will get nowhere near... With every fan, with even a modicum of knowledge, knowing before a wheel is turned, that they won't get anywhere near..
