Christmas eve announcement possibly?

Welcome Cooper Rushen.   Great enthusiastic young racer whom I would have loved to have seen in Worky Comets kevlars next season. Good luck for 2026 Coops. The Poole fans are indeed lucky to have two of the hottest young prospects in their team for 2026.

Trouble with that is, if Batchelor gets stuck behind traffic, we all no what he does, Cooper would be late for the meeting

When did Cairns change his mind? And about what?

Before turning 16 Will gave an understanding that he would sign for worky either junior team or main team, then his advisor got involved and said sign for Poole, whether said advisor is on commission who knows

When was that because it was never going to happen? The decision came down to two teams, neither of which was Workington.

Announcement at 7

Not long to wait then.

Bit of trumpism in the club announcement re season tickets and pricing for next year I think. Stating season ticket prices excellent value to then announce a price increase on general admission. The Harbourmasters meeting is included which the promotion boast as a meeting that fits perfectly  with Poole's aim of showcasing the best of young British Talent British 😏

Shock news NOT

Poole Speedway has yet again won the race for one of Britains' hottest racing talents, having secured the signature of Cooper Rushen for the 2026 season.

The teenager who is making great waves in the sport is known as much for the stylish tassels on his racing suit as he is for the immense talent that he has on a bike.

Cooper turns 16 on March 29th 2026 and will step in at reserve to join Will Cairns who made the leap up to Championship racing last season with Poole.

Confirming Cooper as a starter, Dan Ford, promoter, said "We were intent on bringing Copper to Poole, like most of the speedway world, we've been monitoring his progress over the past few years. He's a stylish, charismatic young British rider and I'm delighted he'll be a Pirate for 2026. There is no doubt he has an incredible future ahead of him and we are delighted to have, arguably, the best two teenage British riders turning out for us this coming season.

The Poole side is now complete for 2026 and falls within 0.28 of the 40-point limit

Richard Lawson (9.58); Zach Cook - capt (7.34); Lewi Kerr (6.77); Fraser Bowes (5.63); Dan Gilkes (4.59); Will Cairns (3.81); Cooper Rushen (2.00).

Fair play to Poole they have put together the strongest team.

As long as they don’t have any major injuries especially to the reserves they will take some beating.

Big favourites to clean up but whoever signed Cooper was going to be.

Should walk the league

You never know in Speedway. Looking like the Anders Rowe defection has worked out well though. Cook the better rider in my opinion. Cairns should kick on while young Cooper finds his feet. Definitely two reserves with bags of potential.
