Didn’t he end last season on fire? He was outstanding at Ashfield in the play-offs. Almost lapped Harris in one heat. That’s his reminded me of the referee - it might have been the Harris race - accidentally pressing the red light, mid-race.😂 It was that race. In the Monarchs match report they were whining about it like it cost them the match. Ignoring the fact that Thomsen still beat Bomber in the re run but it went from a pretty nailed on 3-3 to a 4-2 to the Monarchs as a far from fit Nagel lost out in the re run when he was comfortably in third when the red lights came on

Inexplicably the red lights came on and the race was stopped, the explanation that the referee had hit the button by mistake. Thomson would repeat the trick in the re-run on the way to a ten point haul

Agree but we’d have been selling ourselves short averages wise. I think that was the third questionable call already in the meeting.

Your relying to much on statistics as usual.Name all the riders that are available that are any good at Armadale.Wood is not a superstar but he gives it everything and has had a season at Armadale which counts for a lot. That’s your opinion though.👍

If they go with Paco & Kyle, wouldn't have been surprised if Wood got the last spot, maybe they'll go another way?
allthegearbutnaeidea
There’s not much out there to fill the gap if it’s Paco and Kye, and I can’t see either of them not being in the team.
TheWellBehavedWorrall
If it was Thomson and Castagna, what would that leave remaining for the last spot? If those two are signed, I like the look of that Edinburgh side, but consistency is absolutely key and I think that’s where they struggled in 2025. Big season for Dan Thompson. If he can avoid injury (or more specifically, Luke Killeen), then I think we could be looking at a proper breakthrough season for him, like Brennan for Poole in 2024. RyeHouseLucas
Mitchell Cluff rider number 5, on a 3.00 average at reserve. Believe that puts them on 26.33 (13.67 remaining) Castagna 7.05+ Thomsen 5.93 would be the most likely combination. Giving them 0.69, I reckon that is unlikely and the Monarchs have something else lined up.

When you look at his form at reserve for Plymouth he averaged 4.
lewy
Blobby are you happy with cluff? You didn't have a very high opinion of him when plymouth signed him last season. He should achieve his average imo.

For what we’ve got left to play, probably the best of the options. as a 3.00 reserve I’m okay with it.
