So are the Cookie rumours just rumours?

I don't think there is any worry, just shopping in a different window to other clubs. Sometimes just have to wait for the right one and get the logistics and sponsorship in place.

I posted over two weeks ago, that he was the only obvious candidate that fit between 7-8 average. Was also based on him back doing Motocross and smashing the gym everyday. No rumour as such, just my logical thoughts, like everything on the forum seems to be sparked from that comment, no actual facts.

The club could just as easily come out and sign three 5 point newcomers to British Speedway.

2nd option less likely if aiming for a strong top 5.

If they let Hook go then I’m thinking the Cook rumour could well be true and going for a stronger top 5,imo going for a stronger top 5 isn’t a bad thing,if Cook is signed then 

Jeppesen,Zischke,Batchelor,??,,Cook as a Top 4 that’s pretty good if Zischke gets going along with Cook could well be a title challenging top4.

You would think if the Cook rumour is true he would have had some serious conversations with Andrew about commitment. He would certainly be cheaper to employ than the last time he rode as his options are not great.

But he has let so many teams down over the last few seasons would you gamble on him ?

I still think he could be a top 10 rider in this league but its a big gamble.

Cookie reminds me of a lesser talented version of Mike Lee, Mike was never the same on his comeback 1985 onwards could bang in 15 one week whilst putting in 50% effort and then struggle to get above six for the next three meeting whilst missing meetings he didn't fancy.

Agreed Cook if his head is right could still more than do a job in this league but it really is last knockings for him to put a proper shift in if he decides to comeback.

One for the older comets fans. Cliff Hindle father of ex comet Ian Hindle died a couple of days ago, aged 94.. was also a promoter at barrow speedway in the park road days.

Your just a boy Neil 😃. 94 is a good age, still plenty more meetings to enjoy if we are lucky enough to live that long 🤞👍. As long as Speedway is still going of course.
