Was a good call,air fares ,other travel and medical costs would have all had to be paid if rained off with no income not many promoters these days take a chance on the weather.

The forecast in the 3 days leading up to the meeting was all over the place. At the time of call off it was very poor after looking like we would miss the rain the day before. It remained a poor forecast until Sat morning when there appeared a chance it may not be as bad.

It was definitely the right call based on the information at the time, the BBC forecast proved once again to be nothing if not variable. It did rain later in the evening.

Interview with Andrew Bain in this week’s star sounds positive, he plans to keep improving the track including fitting the flood lights. He said he is going to do his very best to make sure the comets are at the tapes next year. Fingers crossed he can make it work. No one wants to lose another team.

So Worky finally complete their season - so early for many! - and say goodbye to their "Mr Motivator" Team Manager, James.  Lets hope they can 'soften up' the Bears for next week......😂
