I expect them all to be retiring from Speedway then as, some say, they can't afford to ride in just one league.

In the same boat. Moved down to Bury St Edmunds last year so any speedway I do watch now, is at Ipswich. Not a regular though by any means.

Woffinden is a difficult one to judge. He did far better than I thought he would for Sheffield with a near 9 point average. Another horrible accident since then though but Woffinden is not your average rider. Incredibly strong character and mentality as tough as they come. I wouldn’t bet against him coming back and hitting the big scores again.

Assuming the Pre-Christmas rumour was true just like everyone else, I do have worries in regards to Tai's recent injury record but what I will say is this.....

Tai isn't like most other riders and he's the most strong minded rider in our Sport imo, No matter how many bones he breaks, No matter how many surgeries he has, He keeps coming back for more when he doesn't even need the Money.

Could easily have called it quits after last year but Speedway is in his blood and it's his passion to a point where he simply can't walk away from the Sport.

Tai may have some dodgy performances and some hit and miss scores but you'll know that it won't be through a lack of effort.

He'll give it 100% every time he takes to the track because if he didn't care then he would've just retired.

I wasn't sure on King at Ipswich due to the Becker rumour as I knew that Ipswich couldn't have Brennan, Becker, King and Rew as well as a No.1 due to the points limit.

But after hearing the Becker news, It's a no brainer to go 3. King, 4. Rew and 5. Brennan as it's the strongest possible option when it comes to riders who are reliable scorers around Foxhall.

I assume that Northampton will go 2. Kerr, 3. Riss, 4. Wright and 5. Lawson or something along those lines.

It's British Speedway after all where the rules get made up as they go along half of the time so never say never.

So some positive news last night at the NSSC event with Jason Edwards. He has met the new owners who have experience in lots of other motorsport classes, the new team manager and said that he thinks with the team that they have they will be challanging for Silverwear again this season. So all sounds positive for Ipswich.

Yes we just need the bspl to remember they have a fan base/customers and to stop stringing us along to a point of folk have lost interest and all will be well in the sport 🙄

That all but confirms Mayfield Sports are the new owners. That’s pretty huge and Louis has played a blinder there to be fair.

I get you’re frustrated, everyone on here has been. But they released their AGM statement confirming five clubs, and talks were ongoing to grab a 6th. You do realise giving them a pass for their incompetence does exactly that, to be honest I’ve got no skin in the premier game anymore, I will attend more polish matches than premier league this year but that more to do with no home track than the state of the sport,if I do any regular speedway it will be at Buxton, so really I’m sort of past caring what the premier do but whatever the outcome the bspl and speedway futures has treated the fans with absolute contempt and don’t deserve any support

Why exactly do you think it's huge? If it is Mayfield, they are very much an unknown quantity in Speedway, so far all they seem to have done is reduce the SGP prize money. 

I'm not sure what their credentials are other than a number of impressive brands logos on their (last time I checked) website (and no real mention of how they are involved with those brands)... and with no mention of Speedway.

Hence why I refused to criticise Chris Louis throughout the sale process despite how frustrating it's been this winter due to a lack of news.

It was always worth giving Chris the chance to stay true to his word.

Think you should do a little more research. As far as a British Speedway club ownership goes, it’s pretty huge.

Pre-Christmas rumour was the Wolves Trio and it's still possible, Just without Becker.

One half of Team GB's Managers working with 2 of the eventual 4 Team GB World Cup Squad is also very likely imo and it's beneficial for Team GB as a whole if Olly Allen can work with Tom Brennan in the run-up to the World Cup.

I'm not sure where Pete lives but Wolverhampton to Ipswich would surely be about a 3 hour journey where's Olly Allen is a Norfolk lad isn't he?
