So you think Louis is staying on and is meeting with riders?    Isn't Louis currently in Aussie with family?

I mean to do a deal with Ipswich, I don’t know where Louis is or if he staying on ? I just know 2 riders flew in last week or so to do a deal with Ipswich, well 1 did

It’s interesting. If anyone takes Ipswich over they will need at least 1 if not 2 to replace Emil & Jason.

But then I can’t think of anyone else who would be interested in the UK

Are you sure about this?

If Louis is in Australia and there has been no sale agreed, who can they be doing deals with?

Have Kevin Long and Bob Ellis been given some delegated authority?

I just know 2 riders came to the uk, had a meal with some friends then went to Ipswich where 1 of them was doing a deal, I don’t know who with and I don’t know the outcome either and then they both flew home

Hmmm.

I smell something fishy here and it’s not the contents of Baldrick’s apple crumble.

Oh well I’m sure we will find out sometime in January (maybe)

I hope you are right in so far as:

1. The Witches come to the tapes next season.

2. We have a good number 1 and competitive team.

Flagrag also said we have a “great new number 1”.

Anyone’s guess who that is. I’d just like some confirmation that we’re running first!

So he'd rather wind up the club and get nothing, than accept an offer of some money?

It's called the Buster Chapman business model? Unless.....!!!

Zmarzlik has finally decided that he needs to improve his small track skills………..😀

If my understanding is correct Chris has received two offers for the club and that he has turned them both down as they don't meet his valuation.  If he does not receive another he is willing to close the club down for 2026.

If he chooses not to run in 2026 then the company he is selling will be liable for the contracted rent of the stadium. A good indication of what that cost would be is to allocate a significant portion of what is stated in the 2024 accounts as due to creditors within one year. so something between £30k/£50k.

It is highly unlikely that there is not already a rental agreement in place for 2026 in which case should Chris choose not to run in 2026 if faces the decision of either paying the lease/rent or putting the company into receivership. The consequence being two fold. 1. No business to sell and 2. The need for a new promoter to start up a new speedway club.

Maybe there is a mid-ground to this but nothing really favors Chris deciding the Witches sit out 2026.

The one rider who I would pay to see multiple times no matter who he raced for, sadly I can’t ever see a time when he would come back to the uk

If there is a lease agreement in place, then, as you say, Chris Louis will be contractually obliged  to pay it.

Alternatively if there isn't a lease in place, what's to stop someone else doing a lease deal with Spedeworth, and setting up the Ipswich Warlocks.

Because the lack of a license issued by the BSPL as one is already issued and owned by Ipswich speedway promotions Ltd  - director Chris Louis.

I'm working on the basis of what if Chris Louis packed it in and didn't run in 2026.

With no licence, what's to stop someone new doing a deal with Spedeworth for a stadium lease, and applying to BSPL for a licence.   No other club within 30 miles, so no reason to refuse them.
