The change HAS to be made quick sharp if King's Lynn has any hope of challenging. The side is currently running at 39.04. It absolutely needs a Castagna replacement ASAP.

Team average is 36.60.Cooper will get an average after Mondays meeting.I assume that comes in straight away.So they could utilise that extra 0.4 on top of Castagnas average before Monday.

Cooper's average change is irrelevant, Castagna needs replacing before 1st July or any changes become impossible thereafter.

But if you could replace Castagna before Monday for instance you have a 4.22 rider instead of a 3.82.That could give you a little more wiggle room,ie some untried foreigner on a 4.

After Monday if Coopers average changes immediately then you only have 3.82 to replace Castagna.Get an untried 4 pointer in now.

Cooper's average doesn't change the whole teams average, it's individual as a new rider. I think the confusion is people still think Castagna is currently 4.22, he isn't. He's already 3.82 as of 1st June but hasn't ridden since to update the rolling average.

Any replacements for Castagna will already be poor / risky change.

Is it worth giving Castagna the reserve birth or make the change is the question?

If it's change, it has to be NOW before he returns from injury & possibly lower his average further, even at No6.

Why won't it change the teams average when he gains his own average?I take it won't take effect for team purposes then until July 1st.

The team average for June is 36.60 and you can rebuild the team back to 37 but it has to be quick. This enables Lynn to use up to 0.4 on top of any riders average if they wish to change.Has to be done soon though.

My point is that 0.4 is irrelevant as teams never find replacements at the exact number. There is nothing of worth from the Championship averaging between 6.33 & 5.79 who could add anything to the team at reserve imo. There's no standout new foreigners on a 4.00 to choose from who wants the UK.

King's Lynn's position is super weak right now, it's keep Castagna or employ basically a 3rd Rising Star.

Would rather King's Lynn look and try to get a foreigner in on a 4.00 at least it shows they are trying something. What have they to lose,Castagna is very poor anyway imo.

Agree about the Championship, there doesn't seem to be anyone capable even of filling Castagna's boots.

Just another long season by the looks off it.

If only there was a Speedway podcast out there somewhere where real serious questions could be asked of the running of this club 🤐

I cannot believe anyone can be happy spending £30-£40 a meeting for what's being dished up??

Yes, it's on paper of course, but, there's no chance Leicester & Ipswich should be above this King's Lynn septet. Yet, it looks like Northampton have a great opportunity to finish above King's Lynn. This should not be accepted by any genuine King's Lynn fan out there, but guess what, silence 🤫

WHAT THE FECK IS GOING ON?!?

Zero words, zero passion.

Does anyone actually give a feck or what???

I think Rob Lyon hinted at it tonight but I don't think Fricke should have ridden, he had a massive off in the GP only 2 nights ago and was clearly still feeling the effects, it's a mark of the man though and how committed he is and has been to the UK 👍🏻👎🏻

It's easy to get used to the many riders that take the pish out of British Speedway, even British riders, but we mustn't forget that not all of them are like that.

I don't think it can be about the rider's anymore.

King's Lynn fans have had this for years now no matter who the rider's are.

Excuses from the management team are never ending as to reasons of failure but nothing ever gets done & the same septet is rolled out the following week.

"There isn't the rider's available", "nobody want to come" blah blah blah.

Yet, in the next breath, another team finds someone as replacement from somewhere, somehow.

Year in year out, excuse after excuse but King's Lynn fans just sup this s#!t up like an ice lolly from Bonny Blue's dingy tw@ after 1000 gimps have washed around in it.

Let that sink in 🤢🤮

Stock Cars are the money shot ...:D..

With Speedway being the "must not lose too much" hobby...

Same every season...

No point in moaning about it, as it will never change..

Short season with no play offs

Personally didn't think the side looked to bad on paper a genuine number 1 two out of three of the best british youngsters currently out there , yes Castanga weak but I think its down to the other three riders being inconsistent.

Not sure I agree with “there’s no chance Ipswich or Leicester should be above this Kings Lynn septet” comment. I always thought there was very little between the three of them. All three have weaknesses in different areas of the team.

From an Ipswich perspective, we’ve made a cup final and sit in a play off place with our senior reserve contributing next to nothing. Bangs was supposed to be our “trump card” at reserve, he’s been anything but. If he’d scored what was originally hoped, or we’d signed our initial target (Thorssell) we’d have been challengers.

Lynn always had issues for me. Despite the fanfare around Rushen, he’s still only 16 and was/will have slumps this year. The high average of Fricke left a big problem with a 1-5 rider who Lynn were always going to have to carry, and the biggest mistake of all was re-signing Cook. Everybody saw his “commitment” previously, why on earth would anyone think “yeah we’ll have some more of that”? Poor signing.

Lynn, Ipswich and Leicester all look a similar standard to me. Leicester possibly slightly the better of the three as it stands.

It needs a complete overhaul, a fresh promotion with different ideas and a different attitude. Until that happens, then I’m afraid you’re right. Fair play to the loyal band of supporters who keep turning up though. They’ve had little to cheer for years, but there remains a decent core of support. The potential is there.

I don't think you sign Fricke if there is 'zero ambition'. Castagna and Cook are the main issues at present along with the track surface, and I suspect there's a culture of everybody turning up on a Monday/Thursday evening and hoping it'll all come together. The whole thing definitely needs some fresh impetus.
