He has been confirmed as fully fit by Berwick for this weekends meetings.

Now it could be just me but does the Rising Star spot appear doomed at Leicester? Go back to the time of Josh Bates and it's not a good track record they have. FishersGate
So apparently Leicester did have Insurence but they wanted the the go fund me money because the pay out would take some time . So if that's true, where's the extra money going? Is it coming back to the supporters? Or is it staying put? What grills me is that the owner is a millionaire.. If they don’t have a trust they need to set one up. Often when a promoter departs all fund raising monies are lumped in with the main account and is lost forever. Belle Vue set up a trust to ring fence money raised by supporters away from the club promoters. It’s mainly used for injured Belle Vue rider needs and other safety related infrastructure. Any expenditure is voted on by the trustees to ensure it’s not squandered Willy nilly.

IainB
Mr Dickson must currently be sitting on the horns of a dilemma ... Joe Thompson's 28 day stint is coming or has come to an end and Dan Gilkes was at Leicester the other day having a practice. Does he bin off the steady Eddy Joe Thompson, who is currently 2nd only to Jason Edwards of the "Rising Stars" and must be said performing above and beyond anything we've ever seen from him before, albeit on his brother's engine... or does he choose to put, injury prone, Dan Gilkes back into the team? Decisions, decisions 🤔

Decisions, decisions 🤔 For me it's clear cut. Gilkes is very injury prone and Thompson is riding well. So I would keep Thompson. Second in the R/S list is good enough for me.

When the team line up was confirmed before the start of the season, I was delighted that Gilkes would be replacing Joe T, as I thought that Joe unfortunately cost us some very important points last season and wouldn't win a race against the grading tractor. I've lost count of the number of chances Joe has been given with the Lions, but I agree, it would be harsh to let him go on current form. Didn't know he was using his brothers engine, is that the difference? I don't think that Joe has the same racing aggression as his brother, but seems to be a bit more on it this season. Is that down to confidence with the current engine?

And what happens if he loses that engine, for whatever reason, will he revert to type or is this the kick on he needed?
