IF the AGM has been cancelled until January, how will it help the clubs push season ticket sales and merchandise  etc for Xmas presents, approach sponsors and potentially new sponsors for the new season. It gets more of a joke everyday

Got to agree with Neila. Most clubs advertise season tickets and merchandise for Christmas.

What kind of things have not been agreed? and if they are leaving it until January, then surely that is going to be tight in terms the start of the season, if there is anything major to decide.

I think it is more of the Prem that is the issue. Not enough teams. No tv deal. League sponsor?

Interesting to see if Redcar announce all of their team in Dec at their Xmas party if AGM is in Jan 🤷‍♀️

Surely if its the Premiership, that would not affect the Championship and the powers that be would announce something and allow the Championship to proceed. Nothings ever clear with British speedway.

Maybe not if they've got to accommodate 4 more teams?

Are you implying it could be one league, as there are no other teams rumoured to be entering the league? If so, that is major as teams may have to address their team building, admission prices, and season ticket sales, etc..

Surely that would instigate an emergency promotors meeting, not a delay until January..

Supporters who have been saying “well our league is ok and we’ve already signed this and that rider”  need to slow down a little. There’s quite clearly still plenty to discuss according to today’s Speedway Star so any “signings” already made could well end up null and void!

Rob Godfrey still talking as if there’ll be two divisions, but if nothing gets resolved to have a viable Premiership then they may simply have to go for one league out of necessity.

There’s obviously still plenty to resolve and everything is still up in the air.

But if you read the British Speedway article from 3rd November, David Howe is quoted as saying "Josh comes in on a high average so we have had to look at riders who we feel will improve their own average, and I am quite happy with the balance of youth and experience in the team"

I read that as them having signed a full team, but have only announced their star number 1. That doesn't fit with your narrative of Scunthorpe signing Pickering knowing that there would not be a Premiership.

Even if the conference had been moved to January (which it does appear to have been) there will be plenty of discussing ongoing between promoters to try and find a workable solution prior to that. The conference is normally about formally signing off on the new big changes, with maybe the odd smaller matter brought up at the time

Minor point but its an AGM of a Limited Company, not a Conference of an Association anymore.

If Louis is pulling Ippo out of the PL and there is no additional mystery club, surely a PL with 4 teams is a non-starter in which case the 4 remaining clubs will either have to be accommodated in the CL, NDL or not at all.

Louis is probably just completely pi$$ed off that kno*heads in both tiers can’t run their clubs as well as he can.

what ever is happening , they need to act fast . a solution in January will not  cut the mustard .

can guarantee most teams in prem and  champ will have an idea  or have even signed up there teams . Redcar say they will announce in December .

OK, I can see three reasons for delaying the AGM...

1. Provides Sheffield with additional time to complete the sale of the Club

2. Allows Northampton the maximum time to decided if they want to race in 2026

3. Maybe, just maybe their is a broadcast deal in the offering that is dependant on other factors.

Who knows.... but I would imagine the points limit for both divisions will have been agreed.

Of course he is happy having an income from 2 teams, plus the occasional guest booking, with only 1 income he may have to find a proper job and just be a part time Speedway rider, could i ask what will he do when he decides to hang up his leathers ?.
