I'll start with a few. Josh Auty, Zach Wajneckt, Josh Bailey, James Shane's, Henry Atkins, Ben Trigger. Probably a lot more that don't come to mind.

Just take a look at the last 10 years of the u21 final. 13 of the 18 that appeared in 2016 final aren't riding anymore. The 8 in the u19 final that weren't in the 21 final aren't riding either. 21 riders that would be hitting 29-31 this year lost to the sport.

An 80% reduction in their average could maybe bring a few back? I presume 2.00 is the minimum any reduction could go down to? Watching many YT races from around 2015 to 2021, post covid, there are a surprising amount of names who no longer ride, with many of them being "OK" at the time as riders at Championship reserve level at least... The sport desperately needs new, (and even old) blood so maybe this could help possibly... 3 hours ago, SteveLyric2 said: who are the dozens of British riders who have given up the sport - and not through injury? And how many would shell out £20k plus to kit themselves out and then commit to being anywhere between Glasgow and Plymouth on any day of the week for £50 a point?
