They messed up last time releasing them in March. It affected the belle vue crowd. They need to release them quickly fans so aces fans dont have to sacrifice league fixtures for the GP

old bob at herne bay
Surely will not be released at least until after the BSPL AGM and confirmation that the PL will be running in 2026 ?

They were... But, the Aces crowds dropped quite considerably leading up to the GP meetings given the majority of fans at the GP's were Aces supporters... Paying out circa £200 meant a fair few gave domestic speedway a miss for quite a few meetings...

Crazy prices for Speedway the last meeting I went to was a fair few years ago but was a world team cup qualifying round at Lynn, Hamill came back to help the USA out so I mainly went to see him one last time, it was £15 a head and there must have been north of five thousand there with a great atmosphere. I can't remember the year but £15 to £200 over possibly a decade is bonkers.

Yup , know that ...... BUT assuming that the track and the staff will be available for one weekend even in PL doesn't run in 2026 ?

Having said that, prices for all entertainments have risen far faster than inflation, partly due to increased performer payments.
Bagpuss
First SWC event at Lynn 2010, last one in 2015. I think the Hamill comeback one was 2012 but he didn't ride at Lynn.

To hold a GP can cost the organiser well over £100k which is paid to the rights holders.. And then flights and hotels for FIM people and riders... At circa 7000 capacity you will need to charge some big numbers to make any money after that considerable outlay... It will be interesting to see if after last years "novelty" of being the first GP at the NSS, whether demand will be the same this year... WookieboyDon
Went last year and it was a mega couple of nights, especially the Friday. And it was also my first time at the NSS and it didn't disappoint. Gutted I cannot make this year as I'm already booked up for the Isle of Man TT Races. Very unhappy with the date clash with SGP being a week earlier in '26. Edited 23 hours ago by WookieboyDon
