Championship KO Cup Draw

I am not sure that the "paper bag" used is a recognised official BSP Homologated draw dispenser...

Therefore, the draw should be rendered "Null and Void" for me, and only re drawn as and when said "paper bag" has been trade marked and officially endorsed by an ex World Speedway Champion..

The salubrious surroundings, and of course Ms. Lusardi's presence itself, are actually things that accurately, and clearly, reflect the stature, and importance of fhe Championship KO Cup, therefore, ensuring that the "paper bag" used to dispense the team names has the same level of gravitas is fundamentally important...

Hats off to those in charge though,, as many of us on here have often said that they needed to employ a well respected, results delivering, professional marketing company, to publicise the sport, even if it costs a fair few quid to do so...

This certainly looks like they have listened, and done just that...

NB. May I humbly suggest Mr Timmy Mallett to do the Premiership draw?

(If they can get enough teams obviously)...

That paper bag was used in the retakes, she used Rob Godfreys bobble hat for the first!

I genuinely had no idea who she was before reading this thread so can't comment on that side except that it would be interesting to know how they came to the decision to choose her for it.

It just looks so amateur though. Cameo is to wish people happy birthday or see who's dumb enough to say hello to Mike Hunt, not for what should be a serious competition in a professional sport. You even have the final two sides picked out at the same time!

Getting 'a name' to do the draw is a solid idea but surely there were better ways of going about it. As an example TNT commentator Darren Fletcher has some history with the sport, could he have been asked and maybe got someone like Ally McCoist to help out, if I remember correctly he's mentioned Glasgow on his radio show in the last year or so.

As has Alan Brazil and both him and Mcoist do a show together...

And both are pals with "Arry..

10 mins on Talksport Breakfast would be much better I would suggest ..

Maybe the Prem could do this...

Although, they would need to pad it out a bit after the teams have been drawn in 45 secs...:D

Speaking personally I am quite pleased with the KOC draw, means I (hopefully) get to see Poole at Scunny twice, I missed last year's mach as I was away on important family business.  Not actually seen the draw, not sure the size of Inbetweener James Buckely's fee would be but I read somewhere that during lockdown he trousered £1 million by sending fans 'video greetings' cards (or whatever they are called) by quoting Inbetweener stuff.  Think an ideal guy, no pun intended, to get involved with speedway would be Guy Martin....

Excellent, it's a pity the draw had to be done 3 times before Scunny and Poole came out together - oops!

Do you think he'd record a video shouting "Speedway W@nkers" at us 🤔

That seems a bit cruel.

I always say hello to Mike if I see him in the pits.

The bloke from Edinburgh? 😂
