I would intend to sit in the temp stand at BV - so circa £75 per meeting. Given the difference in cost of living I'd say Belle Vue is comparativrly cheaper. Once I add on the cost of travel to Poland, hotels and transport it will cost me much more than Belle Vue will ( no hotel required ). Of course, at Torun I will be undercover as opposed to uncovered at BV, but you pay your money and take your choice. I had s fsbulous time at last year's BV SGP so consider it worth the risk. Thanks. i was just trying to understand the cost comparisons and the whole experience if for example in both cases an overnight stay or two nights stay was necessary with travelling costs etc. adding in food etc. Not an exact science but the one thing that the U K cannot compete on with for example a Polish GP where in terms of the size of the crowd and the atmosphere it is far superior but obviously smaller venues may probably go head to head and be comparable. I still feel the ticket prices are over the top for what you are getting but that is just a personal opinion, others may think otherwise. Anyway enjoy the meeting and savour the memories. Long may a GP be held in GB.

Long may a GP be held in GB. I went to 3 of the overseas GPs last year in addittion to Belle Vue. Each has its own pros and cons and difficult to do a true comparison. People will make a value judgement based on what they are looking to get out of it. I think the SGP seems to be moving to smaller venues, with an inevitable increase in ticket costs. I'd encourage everyone to try various SGPs, and, if they can, to go to a league match as well if one is on before or after the SGP

PersonalResponsibility
The ticket prices don't bother me because I won't be going anyway. I do think it's mental that a child will be charged £93 more than another child sitting 10ft away. They'd probably argue (rightly) that people don't have to pay it, which is fair, but what are you actually getting for your £93 extra? Coz like everything to do with British Speedway, it was done with the paying fans in mind!
THE DEAN MACHINE
I think it’s bad enough for charging a child full price in the seats but they would argue it’s still a seat but charging a child full price to stand up is quite frankly just ludicrous and not the way to encourage anyone with a child to take them and probably putting off the adult too

TheWellBehavedWorrall
Those prices are absolutely disgusting. I was at the FA Cup final in May and my four year old nephew’s ticket in the south stand cost £40. That same ticket would cost £69 at the British SGP… but he wouldn’t get a seat. He wouldn’t even be able to see FFS. Are these idiots for real?

I suppose if they do the same again, then their pricing has been proved correct...

And the place was more than half empty which lead to no more GPs there. I have to say though that I went to the Friday meeting at BV last year and as we left I did say that the meeting we'd just seen was a real candidate for the best GP ever. Perhaps real fans want to see real racing eh? [edit] P.S. I've just bought two day tickets for this year.
