And, it was only sparring matches.... I am sure, after a good rest, Brady will be ready for next Friday... A good rest by missing Polish & UK fixtures should see him ready for the Easter weekend. Thank goodness, we need a fit and winning Brady.
Gavan
Obviously Harris is no replacement for Kurtz but Brady only scored 4 and 9 at Sheffield last season and Blodorn 2 and 1 so they aren’t huge losses Aces clearly weak as usual away from home
InTheDeepStuff
Belle Vue built to win at home and hopefully nick an aggregate bonus point here and there. Struggled around Owlerton for a few seasons now
Robinh88
Nice score from Bewley.
Cue Ball
A comprehensive, but not unexpected, win for the Tigers with only Bewley putting up any resistance. A good work out to get the season underway.
Manifesto
Great showing from Sheffield. Last few races Bewley dug in deep but the result was done and dusted. A sign of things to come from BV away or was Sheffield just too strong? Etheridge will be a real trump card at reserve what an absolute steal on a 3.00 average
AndyK86
Strong home performance to start the season but this isn't unusual early doors, expect Belle Vue to come at us much more next time around. Hopefully we get our starting gate sorted one day, been slow and dragging on outside gates for a few years now and would expect it to be sorted in winter months but clearly not. Great to see Bates family stay on though and good to see them trying new things at different price brackets, t-shirt cannon needs work 😂

If gate 3 was a graveyard on Monday (and yes it was, not a single win) the riders obviously didn't get used to it. Just meant they got used to gate 3 being a graveyard

My perennial complaint is why don't the track staff fix it? Back in the day we had a man or men with rakes on the start line that would fix any obvious problems. Oh I know that there was always accusations of doctoring the gates for the next race in favour of the home team. But if one gate was deep or slick, at least with some attention this could be improved. Uneven gates are annoying especially in key heats (13,15 and especially any super heat).

My point exactly, it’s clearly a major problem so it needs sorting

But if one gate was deep or slick, at least with some attention this could be improved. Uneven gates are annoying especially in key heats (13,15 and especially any super heat). I remember one TV meeting at Wolves where Greg Hancock was in the opposition, and World Champ... The scores were close and Greg got interviewed before the final heat... Greg, being Greg, was grinning and saying how he loved last heat deciders, and it was great for the fans and TV.. During the interview, the interviewer, (maybe Sophie), said Wolves had won the toss for gates, (as they did back then), and were taking two and four... Greg's grin dropped immediately and he said, "Well we've got no chance now"... Gate three had been a zero for most of the night... He wasnt wrong, as he took three and was last..... It was like he was gating uphill from a sinkhole... After Stock Cars at Kirky Lane, gate three was also a nightmare for the first part of the meeting, hence whichever gates gave you the most "two and fours" over the first six or seven heats were always taken in heat one.... To fix the issue must be akin to flying that rocket around the moon..
