Teromaafan
Halfway stage, Lions in front despite the so called heat leaders not managing a heat win. Dickson will be pleased and frustrated at the same time!

IainB
Kemp pulled back from the tapes in heat 12 just as the 2 minutes counted down... could have easily gone for that!

Bagpuss
That's one hell of a win for Leicester, fair play. Maybe Sheffield winning the lot at a canter needs a rethink?

Beating the Tigers in their own back yard is some feat. Dickson was saying that they were the strongest team in the league, which I agreed with. Bit early in the season to say that is a statement win, but hats off to the Lions. My prediction for tomorrow was for it to be light in the morning, hopefully I’ll get that one right!
Manifesto
Credit to Leicester showed up as a team and got the job done much better team on the night. track seemed to catch our riders out tonight but we never recovered. Gating was amateur from some riders. Kick up backside needed
Trotter65
Not a massive shock for me…I said Sheffield were not as strong as people said…Flint is not a consistent top 5 rider , Killeen gets a lot of publicity and hype and really is quite overrated and Etheridge isn’t going to get any better now….Rowe is inconsistent for a top 5 rider ….they have defeats in them with that line up

They’ve had their arses kicked tonight and their Aussie contingent won’t like it!

THE DEAN MACHINE
Was just looking at the race times tonight against Leicester and it seems bikes are going even slower this season compared to last couple of years, times around the 64 second mark tonight which was the Sheffield track record in 1982 on a weslake, progress eh
Cue Ball
Thought Woffy was quite refrained for him - think he only swore twice! Doesn’t bother me either way, he is what he is. Nice to hear/see that he is getting back on form Not an exciting meeting, track looked very dry and dusty with no grip - hence the times were all 3 seconds off the normal pace I’m guessing. Fair play to Leicester and a deserved win

r8gdp
Best team won tonight. The writing was on the wall after the first 2 heats .For Leicester everyone chipped in no weak links tonight For Sheffield the top 3 have all got to be firing on all cylinders every match to carry flint Rowe and Etheridge . A few decent racers amongst the Aussie s for me Dan Thompson was the match winner for Leicester setting the tone in heat
