Redcar v Edinburgh 17.04.26

Recommended Posts

No thread for this so start one now. The weather on Teesside is overcast, with a chance of showers throughout the day, (ɓut currently dry). This should be a very close match, with bears edging home tonight, but monarchs coming out on. top over 2 legs  (Armadale factor). Hope Ì am wron̈g on that though , an̈ywaÿ looking forward to a good match

Not sure how this will go, Redcar solid outfit at home but our top 5 ride the place fairly well and should match them. Think it will come down to if Cluff and Loftus can score a few between them. If not then Redcar home win.

Hopefully cluff doesn't have bike issues again.

Shame what’s happened to the Redcar track used to be brilliant, was absolutel disgrace majority of the meeting. Gate 2 was like starting 10 yards in front of the rest for majority of the meeting.

Kye outstanding backed up well by Paco and Grahn, Dan bit of a tough one which can’t imagine will happen very often. Sedgmen not interested as the track wasn’t great, heat 12 was embarrassing just moved out the way no fight all all, young Jordy found the going tough.

Mitchell Cluff giving Jye Ethridge a run his money for the worst ever monarch, guys absolutely hopeless at best.

Can we swap him for the Plymouth mascot on the pedal bike? Would be much more competitive.

We got shot of him last season and we don't want him back  thank you. He will get some points at Workington and Glasgow and possibly when he races at Plymouth apart from that not sure. Max Perry is going to be in demand i think

8 races in yet to beat anyone not a good look.

Genuinely on a 3.00 thought he’d be okay and pick up a few points but looks like he’s never seen a speedway bike before so far.

To be fair ..

A reserve scoring nil doesnt influence a meeting more than a No1, scoring five..

The downpour late afternoon definitely didn't help track conditions, but I think it's something they need to get on top of.

Saying that, those who attacked the track like Scott and Thomsen reaped the rewards. Best I have seen Thomsen at Redcar and Grahn and Paco both chipped in.

Scott and Pijper I thought both excellent and Allen, Edwards and Jenkins all ride well. Will 12 be enough? I'm not sure.

Their reserves scoring paid 16 more than ours was the real problem tonight.

Then blame the top five who allowed that to happen....

Was it the same issues with the first bend as last week when the Comets were there?

Dan Thompson had some words to say about it on social media.

“Average night - the track was dangerous and not enjoyable to ride early on. Onto tomorrow.”

Two of your HL's scored nine off eight rides...

Never blame a reserve for any defeat with those numbers.....

Cluff is an outstanding signing well done to Edinburgh on this coup or is it coo.

Pleased with the result from a Bears point of view but it’s not a great watch again on the stream.

The heavy rain a couple of hours before the meeting can be the only mitigating factor for the track but the disparity between the gates is pretty bad and a lot of the riders seemed to struggle.

Decent racing was at a premium too with only a handful of passes in 15 races. Haven’t been to watch for nearly a year now and can’t see me going back anytime soon sadly.

Well done bears, controlled win again, still winning without full team firing together, klindt an off nite ,Allen Edwards again done what they had to, great work to reserves , much stronger than opposition which always helps  to score,  away match will be close hopefully bears come out on top
