Hurry said on Radio Suffolk that Jordan Jenkins is guesting

What's the rules regarding guests for riders with an assessed average?Thought there was something different to guesting for a rider with an actual average.Unsure

It use to be the case that assessed riders could not guest but wether it’s in the rulebook or not, that all changed when Robert Lambert was allowed to guest against you in the 2023 final even though he was assessed*.

The regs are different for a rider at reserve as you cannot run RR at 6

Also it is (was) that a rider couldn't BE a guest whilst on an assessed average as opposed to no facility if they were missing

The official cop out for that one was the regulations being 'interpreted' as a rider that has never achieved an official match average as opposed to being assessed

Lambert had of course achieved a match average prior to that time and although officially (re)assessed at the time of the booking this was conveniently 'clarified' to allow his inclusion

Hmmm, that’s interesting. Jenkins’ Established Prem MA from 2025 is 4.61, which is higher than Hellström-Bängs’ 4.50  - and there’s no home uplift for a guest because it’s assessed.

Therefore … either:

they can use Jenkins’ converted Champ MA

or

they can use his Prem MA -2.5% because he’s a Brit, even though that’s for team building purposes.

It can only be that as he is not in a Premiership 1-7 that the converted Championship figure is used

I remember it well from my correspondence with the powers that be at the time.

You’ve got him as assessed on the greensheets so he cannot guest.

He has an average from before so he can guest.

It’s never been done that way before(or since).

Well he has an average.

If he has an average then you’ll rolling it rather than waiting for the 4H+4A.

Radio silence.
