Sheffield v Ipswich 7th May

This one has the potential to go all the way to Heat 15.
If Sheffield top 5 all don’t fire then can see another away win on the cards, as with his experience of Owlerton you’d expect Edwards to clean up at reserve with extra riding Klima doesn’t hit the ground running.  Is this last chance saloon for Etheridge and Kileen?  Etheridge harder to replace on such low average but likes of Mulford and Joe Thompson available as Rising Stars Kileen need to turn effort into points.

Klima the guest at reserve. Interesting choice.

Kileen is doing OK, he isn't the problem, Etheridge may be, but to swap him we will most likely have to swap two riders

Etheridge was a gamble, but one worth taking with such a low average, especially if he could rediscover his form of a few seasons ago.

The problem at the moment is that all of the top 5 seem to be struggling to gate consistently so they are having to try and come from behind all the time.

Killeen has scored 10+5 from 5 meetings. What more is an RS expected to do ? I think he is worth persevering with as he is always pressuring and looking for a way through. Once he gets settled into the track at Owlerton I think he could surprise a few.

Before the Leicester meeting at home I thought we were a good team and nothing has changed my mind. 1-7 never seen a team gate so badly every race we were behind coming out of the second bend.

the track needs to be like it was for the BV meeting and can only see a heavy home win. If the track is a dusty mess then could be in for a bad night again the management should be focussed on this

It was gate’n’go against Belle Vue but the difference was that we are worse out of the gate than you. There wasn’t race after race of you guys picking us off over the four laps. Leicester are the best gaters in the league followed by Ipswich, both due to the nature of their home circuits so unless you get your gating gloves on or god forbid prep a racetrack then you will be vulnerable.
