Edinburgh v Workington Championship 8th May 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Friday 8th May 2026: Edinburgh Monarchs v Workington Comets, Cab Direct Championship, Armadale Stadium, 7:30pm

EDINBURGH ROSS ECO TECHNOLOGIES MONARCHS: Nick Morris (guest), Jonatan Grahn, Justin Sedgmen, Paco Castagna (captain), Kye Thomson, Mitch Cluff, Jordy Loftus.

WORKINGTON GT TYRES COMETS: Jonas Jeppesen, Niklas Holm Jakobsen, Craig Cook R/R, Tate Zischke, Troy Batchelor (captain), Darryl Ritchings (guest), Ryan Ingram (guest).

Will Dan Thompson's injury take the edge off the delight in qualifying for the BSN series semis at Glasgow? Nick Morris comes in to guest.

Comets run R/R for Cookie and have two guests at reserve - Darryl Ritchings and Ryan Ingram. Will Monarchs' reserve pairing continue their improvement and get a heat advantage in Heat 2?

I predict an 8 - 10 point win for Edinburgh as long as Kye's not too tired after his paid 19 from 7 rides at Northampton. What a start to the season he's had!

Wood good guest to have at reserve problem get 5/6 rides tonight and probably score more on his own the Vinnie and Perry would score combined.

Other than him only really Jeppesen should cause us any sort of real bother.

Would’ve took that at the start, Batchelor led from the front, Tate grew into the meeting and Ritchings was a good guest.

R/R was covered very well and we had our gating gloves on which obviously is the most important thing there as it’s over on the backstraight.

Think we have a chance of the playoffs this season but you can’t rely on guests on R/R going forward.

Tough night for Niklas H in his first meeting back but he looked decent in Heat 11 and will be fine at home tomorrow on his home track.

No Jepperson in ht 15?

Yeah, I expected JJ being in 15. Hope he's okay.

Thought the riders done really well, better than I expected to be honest . Like has been said guests and R/R is far from ideal. Thanks to Ryan Ingram and in particular Daryl Ritchings for taking the guest bookings.
