MPT got excluded for going back into pits, was not aware of that rule, is it always enforced? Set up at Workington is excellent, a credit to the sport. Certainly let us off the hook in heat 10, most surprised to be honest. Thanks for the kind remarks re the Worky set up.👍
Woke23
The exclusion of MPT was a correct call. Its a rule, one that is sometimes enforced and sometimes not. Batchelor and Lidsey were both excluded mid week for the same thing. Im not sure why it's a rule, but it is.

marko
I have no time for people who only want to play at being speedway riders, I am not trying to say that mental health isn’t important, of course it is but if you are having issues you shouldn’t be racing in a team sport where your lack of wanting to ride doesn’t affect anyone else. Same goes to riders who only try when they make the start and always pull off the track after two laps when at the back.
CTD26
Well a hard fought victory, thankfully. Solid performances from Jonas, Tate and Batch but what a meeting from Max Perry, looking so much better than he did on his debut and had plenty of speed. Pickering, sublime to watch as always, what a cracking rider he is. The scorpion that impressed me most was Luke. He seems to be getting better every meeting, great to see. 4

The new updates are driven directly from each referee's laptop as it updates within a few seconds if every race, every match. Quite astoundingly quick You could easily of set this system up ten years ago with the technology around then. Stop talking bollocks as usual. eric i
Another strange thing by the ref, he gave a warning to Batchelor for moving at the start after heat 11 despite him leading for 2 laps, surely it should have been pulled back.
scunny1
So MPT didn't look at the programme for helmet colour for his heat, nor did his mechanic and even more alarming the Team Manager didn't bother to check either. After MPT's exclusion for 2 minutes a couple of weeks ago for sauntering from the pit gate and not getting to the tapes in time, he needs to show a more professional attitude. He has cost the team points again and potentially a win overall.

May well have had time to shout from the gate and get a change of helmet colour brought over and still been within the time limit because it wasn't long into the 2 minutes on the countdown clock. Looked like the rule never occurred to him in the moment.
SpeedwaySlider72
Looks like the ref got thjs 100% wrong as the rule only applies to reruns. Dreadful refereeing

Dreadful refereeing Did he though ?, MPT was under the 2 minute countdown and as such I don't think he was permitted to leave the track to rectify his own error. This seems to be reinforced by the refs decision. MPT has to take responsibility for this , even a quick check by the camp would have avoided the incident. But to me the race wasnt under starters orders ie no green light on and was within the 2 mins so shouldnt have been a prob!

Although I dont agree with the rule, you could argue that reruns arent under starters orders neither. If theres some unknown advantage a rider can gain from re-entering the pits, then fair enough. However, I havent seen one person state an advantage, therefore why does it exist? If a rider can get to the tapes within the 2 minutes, then who's bothered what they do with that time? If its to save time, then do what the GP does and reduce the time.
