eide67 Posted yesterday at 08:17 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:17 PM Congrats to Monarchs on a fine win with the whole team contributing. I do really like watching speedway from Plymouth, seems to be a great atmosphere there. Not a lot of passing tonight, but it makes you appreciate the passes there are like Kye's brilliant outside pass on Danny King in heat 13. Special mention to Jordy, who after a poor ride in what should be his easiest ride in heat 2, then scored 7+2 from his remaining 4 rides.

jbell1995
Congratulations to the Monarchs who thoroughly deserved the victory and were possibly value for a little more. Gladiators simply never got going. Only led once as I alluded to in the commentary and looked off it all night. Incredible support from the Monarchs fans and great to see the riders acknowledge that at the end. Great spirit between all fans at the end mingling and talking. Close competitive sport, good crowd, great weather - it's what it's all about. The Coliseum has once again served up a thrilling end to proceedings, shame the home side were on the wrong end of it this time around but still so much to play for. Scott Nicholls - Incredible performance. Ran out of adjectives for him.
Mr Blobby
A deserved win that was almost stolen away at the end. Good effort from all 1-7 chipping in with points which has been the problem this year. Probably would’ve been out of sight if it wasn’t for nicholls in the first 10 heats.

Gazc
Always nice too see the Scottish clubs do well and I include Berwick’s performance also. Now I’ve got the Praise for the Monarchs off my chest I’m away for a lie down.
Nickinho
Nicholls is having a great season. So too is Kye. It was a good meeting and it's amazing what they have done down there at Plymouth. The promotion have really pushed speedway and created something to boast about. From tiny acorns etc.
FAST GATER
Seven rides from a 48 yr old fair play to Scotty fine way to bring the curtain down on long and successful career ,hope he stays injury free to the end season .

Can see him carrying on at Championship Level giving the form he is showing and the League is not going to get stronger.

Would love that but IMO when riders even hint at retiring it seems to break the spell !
drew2
Edinburgh were the better side last night, Gladiators couldn't get out the gate, well done to the Monarchs and their fans who successfully invaded the Colin Hill Stand! I had a feeling they would be tough opponents with a number of riders that ride the Coliseum well led well by Dan T. Kye Thomson was impressive too, just as he was when he guested for us last season at home. His score of 8+3 from 5 might not look great but he actually met Scott Nicholls in every one of his rides only beating him in the last when it mattered most I guess! Scott apart, it was an off night for the Gladiators and I certainly felt Barker missing to be crucial to the overall result. I think R/R scored 7 but would think he would have been good for a few more than that the way he has been going at home this season. Strange old meeting with no re-runs, no fallers, and no tape warnings which for Plymouth is quite something! Onwards and upwards for the Glads who could really do with a positive result at Scunny on Friday now.
