Aries Posted yesterday at 12:49 PM Author Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:49 PM https://ipswichwitches.co/coleman-eyes-top-end-firepower-for-2027/ To be fair to Coleman, he doesn’t even mention the word “stellar”, that’s just a word the reporter has used. Coleman simply says a “number 1” is super important.

Maybe they should do away with the rule that means your top average rider has to ride at number 1 & allow the team manger to name his top 5 in any order he likes. Musielak & any team he rides for would benefit not being forced to ride at 1 like wise with Brennan this year could have been moved earlier in the season if that rule wasn’t in place.

I agree, I feel for Musielak tbh because he's a good rider who always beats the riders that he should beat on paper (Doesn't drop silly points as I like to say) But also Tobi will pretty much lose to the riders that he should lose too on paper regularly like we've seen this season when he drops off towards the end of the meeting. Problem for Tobi is that he wins the vast majority of his Heats against the riders who he should beat that ends up seeing his GSA end up in the 8's to a point where his GSA is unattractive the following year for top end Clubs. Then he finds himself at a lower end Club as a No.1 due those Clubs being left with riders that Belle Vue, Ipswich, Leicester and Sheffield don't have an interest in for the following campaign. For me Jason Doyle is a stellar number 1 all day long. Don't get me wrong Aries JD has my total respect he didn't clear off when the Sky money ran dry and has come back from dreadful injuries its just the way things have been pitched it hinted at someone new coming into the team who would bring the wow factor. JD is a hard charging rider but someone like Bewley or Emil to me are more exciting riders to watch on a bike. Anyway will park it here as I'm sure 99% of Ippo fans would welcome JD back and as mentioned he should be one of the top five riders in the UK in 2027 without breaking a sweat. Which 2 of the current 6 teams are currently not confirmed as running in 2027? The league this year was a complete farce, and everyone knows it. One of your main competitors for silverware were completely taken out of the picture. 1

Been saying that for years (pretty much since the Reg was introduced). At the very least, they could insist that the top average rides at #1 OR #5. Also affects R/R, and I think that R/R for your top average should be allowed #1, #3, #4, or #5 (i.e. not at #2). PS: I reckon the Witches would have been better off this season with Musielak at #1. As all the teams have much longer to pick from pretty much exactly the same riders.. Meaning it will be the best season, ever, ever, ever..* Even better than the seven team 2025, which surely will be talked about for decades to come... * (Unless Belle Vue win again)....
