40-38
Any interest in this one? It sees two Australian World Cup winners in Ryan Douglas and Max Fricke on track. Justin Sedgman guests at reserve for the Lions. Stars line-up as per usual.

pubichair
Embarrassing already from the stars if ever there was a team of riders trying to drop there averages its this team!! get rid of them all except probably the two reserves and cooper
kelvinht
Paid to watch the stream tonight - what a waste... How can a team who, on paper look pretty decent, be consistently failing to deliver on the track. With the way Cooper has improved this year we really should have been in the mix nearer the top end of the league, not scrapping to sneak into 4th, which on this performance is gonna need a miracle of biblical proportions

We couldn't make it work this season with a genuine number 1 in the team. But Kvech, Bomber and Cook need to go, and there will be a few teams after Max now his average has dropped. Who know what next season will bring.
Youhave2minutes
Another muck out needed at Lynn. First time for years the team get a decent number one and he underperforms. Cook can’t replicate is form from Poland. Kvech getting worse and Harris not having a good season either. Carrying too many passengers. Youhave2minutes
All over for Lynn now in playoffs. Despite Ipswich losing at Northampton they get the bonus point by winning on aggregate by one point.

Col
Is that it for Stars PO chances?
Daniel Smith
27 minutes ago, Col said: Is that it for Stars PO chances? Mathematically no, realistically, it was done weeks ago. Ipswich have Sheffield (h), Belle Vue (h) Leicester (a). That could easily be 0pts. King's Lynn have Leicester (h), Northampton (a). That should be 3pts at Northampton but it absolutely won't be. The bonus points could be huge in the run to 4th place.

Carrying too many passengers. Here we are again year in, year out, and the fingers firmly pointing at the wrong people. Not a single rider can be or should be blamed. They do not pick themselves. This is all on the management 100%. They sign them, choose riding order, refuse to sack them when it's deserving. King's Lynn is a pocket money holiday club for rider's that can earn without consequences & become more attractive to better clubs in 2027. Any rider with any standards is only picking King's Lynn when nothing else is available.
Pinny
Lynn not for the first time have a side that looks great on paper but falls short. Is Lyon a good a manager as what people say? Lets be honest, he done well with them in the old Premier League but some of the teams built it would of been hard not to do well they were that strong. Since rejoining the top division, they have been nearer the bottom than the top most of the time and mainly under Lyon's management. The sad thing is the stadium, from what I remember, was more than decent for a speedway stadium, good fanbase and large crowds. With the right management it should be a thriving club. mogmacrash
The stars look very strong on paper, the likes of Ben Cook under perform in the UK, Fricke is nowhere near as dominant, especially at home as he was for Leicester. I guess you could say the same for the Czech kid, he could potentially do better, and of course Bomber is Bomber. Kings Lynn aren't the only team to suffer these under achieving teams though, its happened to Ipswich often. I don't really think speedway team managers have the ability to improve performances to the extent required though, yes they can motivate certain riders, but if they can't be arsed in the UK, why bother with them in the first place?...The likes of Zagar and co are proof of that....Easy money springs to mind.
Bagpuss
The failure to reach the top four wont be because of last night, its the three home defeats and the loss and Northampton. Fricke has regressed, Kvech & Cook havent kicked on and they made a dog's breakfast of the Castagna/Jenkins spot. All a bit of an underwhelming mess unfortunately. Cooper and Jody have been the bright spot.
marko
I think Lynn are the Everton of speedway, never really any good but always are in the top flight season after season, when i first starting watching speedway Lynn always finished finished bottom but bar a couple of years the sport has never had relegation. Probably down to the owners over the years especially Buster running a tight ship, Lynn were never the big named team like Coventry or Cradley and others, but they are still going. SJA
I think what last night demonstrated is that A} Leicester were correct in not resigning Fricke B} Despite what many Leicester fans thought in the closed season Douglas is a real number 1 and they were right to build a team around him.
