ch958 2,395 Posted October 16, 2019 during the PL and early BL days teams had world stars but plenty of journeymen and juniors - how do you think the big boys got 11 plus averages? Wouldn't be any different now. Teams carried 2 and 3 point riders all season, nobody minded

What was the points limit for championship? 38 this year? feel a long tail coming on! the product was made very weak last year due to costs! On a plus side the south coast derby is back on with Eastie!! Or Somerset or IOW? ?;-)

BTW despite our relative success (certainly compared to expectations) our time in CL was at least as good as this season No discernable difference in racing quality. Give it a fair crack and any fan will enjoy it despite any reservations they may have initially

Bash 496 Posted October 16, 2019 Maybe Matt Ford is hoping Buster comes in to buy the club.
Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted October 16, 2019 44 minutes ago, Skidder1 said: Good. No issues from me - as long as there's no increase in price. It should be 25% cheaper to get in. Matt Ford said cost are 25% less. So instead of £18 it should be £13.50 next season.
old bob at herne bay 828 Posted October 16, 2019 Seems like another club "tucked up" by the fixed race nights for the PL ? It completely finished Rye House and appears to have driven Poole out of the PL. As for saving money it remains to be seen how much riders who need to "double up" to make UK speedway viable will demand to race if there is only one league.
