So 3 clubs stopped Dan Bewley from riding for belle Vue aswell as 2 other leagues this season.

Would imagine it has nothing to do with uk, miss interpretation.

Surely it's 3 Polish clubs insisting because of the complications it would have for them with their own rider's.

Nothing to do with UK clubs its a polish regulation, also if the Russian riders are banned from riding Bewley could well  be in the GPs so riding in 3 leagues as well as GPs would not be good for his career

Thats why Woffy stopped riding in the UK as it took a toll on his health due to to much traveling

I'd heard that Bewley and Thomson were in the proposed1-7 lodged with BSPL some weeks back.

Which is the same 2 names I put on here. It all seemed a done deal.

.as speedyone says. It's cost the sport another guy that wanted to take the sport forward  a good guy.

So the cat is out of the bag?

Back at the end of December, the Polish league removed the restriction that riders racing in Poland's top league could only race in one other league... Of course by then 5 of the Premiership teams had already signed a full team.... but Belle Vue hadn't...   So now Bewley was free to ride in Britain, (as well as Poland and Sweden) and he did a deal with BV.   The BV team was legal and within the points limit... but it looked rather strong...and certain other clubs didn't like this....so despite the BV team being legal and within the rules it went to a BSPL vote.... and 3 clubs voted to block it....  So it seems 3 short-sighted promoters have cost the sport the chance to see Bewley this year, cost Kye Thomsen a Premiership place, and also cost the sport the services of Adrian Smith.

That’s most of the story but it missed one vital element: the Poles agreed to drop the two team maximum rule ONLY if other leagues allowed them (a) to run any night they wished and (b) that their league had priority over riders at all times.
This then could adversely affect every Premiership meeting with riders being missing. I’m surprised any team sided with BV on this. Unless there’s one that isn’t using riders also signed up in Poland, but I can’t think of any

That sounds right for the promoters once again to look after their own club and to hell with the sport being run in a professional manner.

No rules broken here….

once again BSP stands for British Speedway Prat’s as opposed to British Speedway Promoters

Very harsh decision but it's the correct one as Belle Vue would be gaining an unfair advantage over the other 5 clubs tbh.

Let's be realistic how many riders would consider the UK regardless of dropping restrictions, not many that's for sure!

Ok so Pedersen and Vaculik have committed before and what's happened has happened but you're not suddenly going to get all the GP riders back

The board of directors should feel ashamed of themselves

Why would it be unfair? The team is within the points limit. Other Premiership teams had the same opportunity and the Poles run on whatever night they want anyway!

They were within the points limit so what's the problem.
