  1. Past hour
  2. So the second under 21 rider also has to be at reserve?
  3. Is this on the back of what “Floppy” has said on Facebook? I don’t agree with him. Clubs have to be self sufficient. If and when Eastbourne and others return, they’ll also have to be self sufficient. It’s one thing helping clubs get back up and running, it’s another to keeping financing them. If the BSPL put the money in to Plymouth instead of whatever they are currently trying to do, then that opens a huge can of worms. In 12 months time, as if by magic you’ll suddenly see two or three others clubs suddenly need financial help for their air fence. I’m sorry but this is all on Plymouth. They should have known their air fence needed replacing and should have been fundraising earlier than the end of the season.
  4. Points limit 37. (can't imagine any change with the weakening of the no.6 spot) British rising star at No.7 same as last year, but now has to be under 21. No.6 has to be under 21 too, but can be any nationality.
  5. I also believe you are spouting the forbidden gravy. Plymouth and Berwick also ride on Saturdays. I also know Workington have had riders offer their services to them. Workington are tackling team building this year completely different to previous years. They will have a lot of different riders and that takes time. The teams who have announced riders so far are mainly announcing riders they had from the previous season
  6. I agree with you to some extent. Yes, it's always a positive, for everyone, when defunct clubs return. We shouldn't turn our noses up at it happening, but is the money really worth the rewards? It's been well covered in recent years that Plymouth have increased their crowds and grown their club - yet now their future is at stake over £45k. Money which seems be readily available elsewhere in British speedway. I'm not saying that clubs should be bailed out by the BSPL, but are we not better off protecting a growing club, going in the right direction, than spending fortunes for the sake of a TV deal? Maybe we are, I don't claim to have any knowledge of the sums involved.
  7. Shops mostly stock what customers want . Building society’s for example have member votes agm meetings , yes I agree this is different to sporting clubs.
  8. Today
  9. Maybe someone has opted out of the multi year deal 🤔
  10. They don't need a fortnight to know they've blown their threepennies but they need to work out how they are going to fund their losses for another season.
  11. Agree, who’s to say Howarth will come back into the sport anyway? I think Masters could do with a move away as well.
  12. I agree at this stage Berwick are hot favourites followed by Oxford and in third place Edinburgh 🤣
  13. I'd be happy with that. What does that mean for Lawson though? 🤔🤷‍♀️
  14. Strange how everyone loves Harrison, whenever I've seen him he's been distinctly average. Cairns is the much better prospect imo.
  15. The downside to stock cars being back at Owlerton is damage they cause, it’s been seen before holes in the track after a stocks meeting and a couple of years back the fence damaged which was left to speedway promotion to repair. Also need then more people to help with the install/uninstall of the air fence which can just be left deflated when the stocks left the stadium and that’s been a struggle getting help in recent years
  16. Zach Rushen Harrison Mitch Mcdiarmid Tate Zischke Kennet Slater/Landon =39.96
  17. Maybe the money at Glasgow just guarantees riders are paid what they are due and on time?
  18. It was never going to be solar panels going in there, it was battery storage units for solar generated power. Not sure if they are there or how much space they have taken, but the stock car promoters have said that they are having to work with limited pit space for the meeting on Tuesday. This is a test event with a view to a full return in 2027, but there are also plans to extend the available pit space if that happens. Not sure what Dean is implying about it possibly not being a good sign for Speedway if Stock Cars are back. They have run alongside each other previously so why not now ? Stock Cars would most likely run on a Sunday or occasional Monday, but probably no more than 4 or 5 times a year so it won't impact on Tigers being able to use the stadium.
  19. Interesting! If accurate then someone must have talked him out of doing Denmark or Sweden?!😉 Are you sure your source was talking about the right Cook brother?
  20. Unfortunately I disagree. This smacks of short term 'fire fighting' rather than longer term planning in the hope that a TV deal will provide sufficient funding for more than one season to get a handful of 'top' foreign riders in order to get extra fans flooding through Premiership turnstiles!!
  21. Zach back as number 1 from what I was told earlier today, obviously that’s good news for Poole and for another very good rider not dropping the Championship and wanting the bike time
