I'd be happy with that. What does that mean for Lawson though? 🤔🤷♀️

Strange how everyone loves Harrison, whenever I've seen him he's been distinctly average. Cairns is the much better prospect imo.

The downside to stock cars being back at Owlerton is damage they cause, it’s been seen before holes in the track after a stocks meeting and a couple of years back the fence damaged which was left to speedway promotion to repair. Also need then more people to help with the install/uninstall of the air fence which can just be left deflated when the stocks left the stadium and that’s been a struggle getting help in recent years

I believe you're wrong.

Maybe the money at Glasgow just guarantees riders are paid what they are due and on time?

It was never going to be solar panels going in there, it was battery storage units for solar generated power. Not sure if they are there or how much space they have taken, but the stock car promoters have said that they are having to work with limited pit space for the meeting on Tuesday. This is a test event with a view to a full return in 2027, but there are also plans to extend the available pit space if that happens. Not sure what Dean is implying about it possibly not being a good sign for Speedway if Stock Cars are back. They have run alongside each other previously so why not now ? Stock Cars would most likely run on a Sunday or occasional Monday, but probably no more than 4 or 5 times a year so it won't impact on Tigers being able to use the stadium.

Interesting! If accurate then someone must have talked him out of doing Denmark or Sweden?!😉 Are you sure your source was talking about the right Cook brother?

2027 - 8 Team Premiership
SteveLyric2 replied to CTRSports's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Unfortunately I disagree. This smacks of short term 'fire fighting' rather than longer term planning in the hope that a TV deal will provide sufficient funding for more than one season to get a handful of 'top' foreign riders in order to get extra fans flooding through Premiership turnstiles!! -

Zach back as number 1 from what I was told earlier today, obviously that’s good news for Poole and for another very good rider not dropping the Championship and wanting the bike time

But what a lap

What makes you think they haven't? Members are the club's management/promoters not the end-user (customer). For example, retail businesses, shops, supermarkets etc don't ask their customers what products to stock or what price to charge. Other Sports clubs/Associations don't ask which players to sign or what rules they play under. The 2026 Speedway season is barely 2 weeks gone. Clubs need to get their full season financials finalised for the AGM in order to be able to confirm they are running in 2027. Why the rush??

Believe the payment issues for riders last year is causing Workington issues when it comes to team building this season, riders talk and they know which teams pay on time or owe riders a number of meetings and obviously riders will try stay clear of those clubs where constantly chasing their money and owed thousands of £. Know Workington aren’t the only promotion who have been behind in paying riders but they are already in uphill battle with their race day not suiting all who race (speedway or grass track) on the continent during the weekend.
-
I'm sure they'll start where they want, not where you think they should. Quite clear that the Premiership needs more clubs to get a TV deal and grow, and that there are people willing to help new/returning clubs get up and running for the good of the sport and in the absence of clubs being willing to step up.

Limit the number of times a club can use guests for a rider retired or withholding services.

Made my first ever visit there a couple of weeks ago. Its past its heyday but was still a pleasant place to spend an hour or so !

SGB Championship 2027 Confirmed Signings
Nickinho replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Berwick already looking strong. I think they are favourites to edge out Glasgow who don't have any riders. -
Yes but some Limited companies allow members to vote on issues and changes too.

Going back to Workington to replace Zischke 🤣🤣
