  3. Never been a fan of Lawson … he isn’t well liked amongst the riders Ive heard as well and rubs promotions up the wrong way … im not one of these plastic fans who once a rider signs for you that you have to like … sure I want him to win races for us but I struggle to cheer him just something about his demeanour I’m not a fan of

Drew Kemp, 7. Joe Thompson
  5. I don't think the WiFi signal is great at The Coliseum either for these systems to work efficiently. The people on the gate (I drive in and park at stadium so pay in car) struggled early season to scan multiple tickets I had purchased on my phone so I always try to have the right amount of cash ready for those travelling in my car that day. It does tend to be much quicker this way and less stressful for the gate staff which is appreciated by them too.
  6. Also televised/streamed meetings tend to run for a couple of hours do they not? A three hour broadcast with half an hour each end for build up/analysis? Last night finished just after half 9. Most meetings this year have been done by 9:15, any quicker than that and personally I'd feel short changed.
  7. Only just read this. Are any West Ham team members from the mid/late 60’s still alive?
  8. I certainly remember Antoni Woryna back in the 60’s. Yes, I am getting old, started watching speedway in 1960.
  9. Currently reading Andrew Edwards book,MCN Days, Speedway Nights. In his book he remembers being in the Millenium Stadium for a British GP in 1995. The stadium did not open till 1999.
  10. I would love to come, Chris. However, I am unable to travel far these days. It is with regret I won't be able to attend. I do , however, send my very best wishes for the success of your endeavours.
  11. Your argument fails as in the first sentence you mention old ladies fumbling for change, but cash is quicker than scanning a ticket. All it needs is online bookings being able to be added to Apple, Google and any other wallet available, so not reliant on data or WiFi signal. Though the scanner probably needs a data or WiFi signal. Also the fast moving cash only entrance gets held up by those fannying about for money and awaiting change.
  12. The late lamented Gustix - he was my friend. Sadly missed. R.I.P. + John. Joined 2010 as The White Knight, I had a previous Login, but I had a problem logging in one time and had to re register.
  13. Not in my life 😃 the more plastic/ phones are used the more traceable your life / spendings are
  14. I thought he was our rider of the year in 2023 and continued his magnificent partnership with Max Fricke in 2024... I was pretty shocked when he decided to walk away at the end of that year... but as he's had more clubs than [INSERT NAME OF FAVOURITE GOLF PLAYER HERE]. It seems that he doesn't take his team Speedway as seriously as many of the fans do but he's by no means alone in that where riders are concerned.
  15. With all due respect, most if not all, meetings this season have been run really well and have been completed by around 9.15pm and well before 9.30pm, obviously as you have not attended this season you wouldn't realise that but feel you can comment witout the facts Unfortunatly last night was later finishing due to several reasons, a couple of heavy falls, several restarted heats plus additional track grading and watering in an attempt to keep the dust down under difficult weather conditions, hot, sunny and breezy, which dried the track very quickly, personally i prefer not to be covered in dust which would have been the case if the extra watering had not taken place, even you would agree that all tjese things were beyond the control of the Kings Lynn promotion !
  16. Doyle should've been back hence why I was very vocal when he joined Belle Vue. It wasn't even a difficult decision to fit him back in, Easy three picks to release at the time, Lawson (Attitude), Nicholls (Ineffective around Play-Off tracks) and Hellstrom-Bangs (On and Off Track Struggles) Mayfield simply have to get it right in 2027, Paul Hurry's Mate's rates cannot be a factor under any circumstances, Loyal Club Riders like Danny King cannot become a factor either if he ends up on a 7+ GSA.
  17. I used to like Lawson when he was a Lion, always gave everything I thought. Reading posts on here, he couldn’t wait to get away from KL last season and now appears to be rubbing up the Ipswich people the wrong way. Looks like there is a side to him that we didn’t get to see at Leicester.
  18. Used to view a lot but not post. Characters like Shazzy Bird and Bryn were great and sadly no longer with us. Shadders the Rye House fan was a good laugh.
