This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. I thought BSN said there will be a stream for this, not seen any in formation about it anywhere
  3. Might be his Polish team, get him used to what's going to happen in the future. But seriously, I'd guess Poole have asked him not to ride. A meeting on the day between two playoff final legs, the second leg being in another country.
  4. Poole fans need not worry Arry will have a dickie bird with the geezers in charge daan the rub a dub and it will be sorted. We need him to sort out Google so we can get back to the Purfleet Raceway. Triffic, Crouchy, Defoe etc.........
  5. BBC South missed a trick. You had Shovvy and his lazarus like comeback from the dreaded Covid and Arry Triffic Redknapp. Should have had both of them in front of the camera Shovvy talking about how he came back from deaths door thanks to the vaccine and Arry saying how triffic the vaccine is. The NHS would have got great publicity there.
  6. IF TNT have pulled out, that's a big chunk of income lost to the teams at the top table.
  7. So in every sport you’ve gotta be entertaining and forget about winning you all make me laugh, sport is about winning which naturally brings in the fans,oh hang on a sec who won the entertainment trophy this season anyone know… As for Gavan bit rich considering ur dump of a track produces next to nothing but you won the league don’t think all of the 6000 people were complaining about the racing were they when you lifted the title.
  8. Good call... Getting to know the riders at the same time.... Getting those with personalities into the studio....
  9. 20 years ago they had an amazing deal out of Sky, sadly a large % went in commission whilst the remainder was squandered and the broadcaster taken for granted!
  10. Today
  11. You say the team is 1.4 over the limit, but also comment that Rew for Doyle or Emil makes the team weaker (obviously). But it would be very hard to avoid having a weaker team (of the rules stay the same). Rew for one of the top 2 would still leave a very strong looking team imo.
  12. Always remember Tony saying one of the reasons he joined was he hated riding at Poole. He needed to master the track to make him a better rider.
  13. Even though Warner/Discovery/TNT are bigger than all the competition! Personally I'm not sure that full, live speedway meetings on any channel - mainstream or others - is the way to go in order to attract more people to actually attend meetings? A Well-produced highlights package once a week, including a regular 'where-to-watch next week' slot would surely generate more interest.
  14. If you go too BSN website and scroll too bottom of page there are contact details there.
  15. The root cause was three competitions still to be completed meant pressure to get it run, so ALL promoters were involved in that situation... Not a great idea by October to still have three left to sort, and running on an FIM date which was in fhe calendar for over 12 months just compounded the self inflicted issue.. It was also almost disrespectful to fans, (and sponsors), to run such a "prestigious" meeting given many would have paid all season to hopefully see their team in the play offs, and then end up with a "select side" to follow... An independent arbiter/body wouldn't have sanctioned this meeting given the situation with GP2, (but would no doubt also have ensured two of the competitions had been wrapped up by then)... It would have been interesting to see the Tigers fans reactions if they hadn't won the semi overall...
  16. Just a reminder for those with short memories and /or little knowledge of Glasgow speedway 2025. Glasgow went for 7 UK born/based riders to minimise disruption to their team and fixtures. Sadly the signing of Ashton did not work out and they had to look for another 5.0 rider. The only option was to go abroad and we signed Villads. We knew that his Danish/Polish meetings would take priority but in theory that only meant probably missing an away fixture at Poole, Oxford and possibly Workington. In the end he missed 6 away meetings 3 of which were also missed by Dan. You can't legislate for riders being called up for FIM/European meetings, or Polish meetings being rained offf and being re-arranged, and/or being injured. He is an entertaining, popular young rider as is Dan and I'm sure all Glasgow fans hope they stay with the club and continue to provide entertaining racing both home and away.
  17. I think your colleague would've had a slightly more positive view if they'd actually been there last night, it's always a lot different actually being at a live event to watching on TV, I'd guess it was a pretty good atmosphere last night, I never saw it so can't comment on the racing side of things. You say that the Glasgow v Edinburgh match was remarkable, but for me that was in part due to the atmosphere and how it concluded, it wasn't the best racing wise I've seen at Ashfield this season.
  18. Have you ever been to Buxton ?, if you have you will know it is basic and in a very beutiful part of the world, no worries about development out where they are unless you want to develop a new breed of sheep, as for being viable I think it will be providing the NDL stays as it has been for the past few years, which is primarily a development league, it was only when teams such as Cradley, Birmingham, Eastbourne used the National league as a competitive league and paid much more than the old £10 per point and mileage that forced teams such as Buxton to have to pay over the odds to entice any rider that had above average ability, prior to that Buxton was a very good nursery for young riders and Buxton generally more than held there own when silverware was up for grabs. If you have never been to Buxton I suggest you take a drive out you may be pleasantly surprised, I have NO doubts Buxton will last the season.
  19. How do I get in touch? This is what I purchased and thought I would get both legs. My mistake or suitably vague?
  20. A final in a pro sport is about WINNING.... Not entertaining... Cinema's do that.... If you get an exciting meeting as well then (for the neutral), it's a bonus.. I had a conversation with a promoter in the 90's who I was potentially going to get involved in some sponsorship with, and mentioned that the racing wasn't always up to much and when I attended Sheffield and Stoke, (which I did each week), the racing there was more entertaining... His answer was along the lines of it was all about winning as that held the home crowd levels up, and that a few meetings of entertaining racing, but losing, was a recipe for closing down.... He certainly wasnt the only promoter then, or now, with those views...
  21. Changing the name to Wimborne Library, given it’s been impersonating the entertainment value of one for years.
