  1. Past hour
  2. We need the new owner to throw a few dollars at Bartosz, get him over here... I'll go for: Jaimon Lidsey 7.87 Niels Kristian Iversen 6.71 Charles Wright 6.11 Rohan Tungate 5.89 Lewis Kerr 5.36 Foreign newbie 4.50 Jake Mulford R/S 36.44
  3. A strange outlook if so... Without each other, both leagues fail... Sharing the costs of tier two Heat Leader's and Second Strings is the only reason clubs can run at the individual level they do, as neither can pay these standard of riders individually what they want to earn... The top tier has to exist so the second tier can have a certain standard of rider as the No1 and No5...
  4. Good news…6 teams isn’t too different from 9 as far as a league goes and the team put together will be competitive so it’s good news…and yes there have been fans who seemingly didn’t want this to happen, mainly Championship fans , a lot of who seemingly want the Premiership to collapse and fail for some reason
  5. The majority of the stadium is grass bankings for spectators, but there is a large uncovered all seater grandstand on the back straight. Capacity won't be an issue, the track is holding the F1 Stock Car World Final this year which will see an attendance far bigger than any British Speedway Premiership match will achieve.
  6. For me whos fairly new to speedway and loved going to peterborough to watch this is amazing news. I will get to as many home meetings as I can even if they don't have the strongest team & then hopefully given a bit more time in 2027 it can become a proper outfit. Or maybe they've got some tricks up their sleeve for this years team 🤔 but all in all it has got be good news. I actually went to watch the F1 stockers there 2 years ago and it does seem a really well fitted track for speedway 👍
  7. If you believe the bloke in charge then he and Speedway Futures have thought about it already.
  8. You would need more riders rather than more money
  9. One league and try and attract Bein Sports.
  10. Never too early for that - needs sorting by late summer if at all possible Will need a big input to be secured from somewhere / a new TV deal etc to be able to maintain or perhaps expand the top league Hopefully big enough to facilitate the elimination of doubling up If that cannot happen then its one big league
  11. Today
  12. Does anyone know the capacity of the stadium? I shall definitely be giving it a visit at least once.
  13. You watch them blame the increased prices on the Iran war 😂
  14. I don't know but they're going to have to do better than posting a few pictures of some pushed over poles to reach that number! 😂
  15. There has been a lot of (justified) concern as to the viability of such a project, especially with the timescales involved and with the sport being in its lowest ever position. Surely nobody really thinks a new track is a bad thing... closing mid season, having an uncompetitive team, running in front of poor crowds with an expensive team are all bad things which many have been and still are concerned about. Good luck to them though, I for one can't wait to get down there at some point 👍🏻
  16. To be fair they currently have no fans and based on recent history it's going to be a hard task to keep it running for a long time. I think fans are just being realistic rather than being negative. Fingers crossed it goes well though...I hope they smash it.
  17. There have been plenty of posts saying that there is no point as it won't survive beyond two to three years, the sport is a circus so it's a waste of time, it will have no fan base, the track won't be good enough for passing etc, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah. If that's positive and a good thing... You either haven't read the posts or have forgotten them.
  18. They've set up a go fund me and want £10k!!!
  19. Now that is an interesting question 👍🏻
  20. Are you sure you mean Byron Bekker ?? Or do mean Luke Becker ?
