  2. I cannot believe that something like this would ever happen... As it would directly impact the considerably high level of integrity and credibility that UK Speedway continually, and proudly, displays ..
  3. Both teams at full strength tomorrow, weather set fair -- not too warm, but it's Berwick -- and a pretty good-looking match-up: Berwick Bandits 1. Peter Kildemand 7.78 2. 7. For me, in the UK, the sport exists to provide a hobby for many of fhe promoters, and an income stream for lads who want to ride a Speedway bike.... No more, nor less, than that... Continuous contrived septets, put randomly together almost 200 times a season, on an ad hoc basis, suggests the sport certainly isnt set up to have its leagues as its major selling point...
  8. The size of the sport in the UK makes it perfect for it to be a feeder league to Poland... I would go as far as to say that UK clubs should form links with them... The BSB deliver a great product using some old heads, some young UK riders, and some young riders from Europe, Japan, and Australasia who are not ready for the higher echelons.. They ensure that the talent they "lose" to MotoGp and WSB as the best riders, organically, move through the levels, get replaced by the next riders in line, due to running several lower classes including youth racing... They don't rely on other competitions to bale them out, nor allow other competitions to impact their fixture schedule... In short. They know their place and cloth is cut accordingly.. The result is a strong competitive format... Given the amount of young Poles who ride Speedway there will be a surplus of reasonable talent that cannot get team places, therefore, the UK should enable them to ride over here as part of their development.. In any business, why wouldn't a smaller entity try and forge great relations with the biggest business in their industry?... UK Speedway is now at a point where it needs significant help, and a conveyer belt of riders from the No1 Speedway nation on earth would certainly help them.. And, at the same time, help Poland with their overall rider development...
  9. Very funny ad popped up as I was scrolling through this thread - a high street cash dispenser with long and orderly queue of grey haired people wearing glasses. Those algorithms obviously have a good sense of humour!
  10. Debrecen live updates https://live.baansportfansite.nl/event/1229/european-under-19-individual-speedway-championship-sf1-debrecen.html Plzen live updates https://live.baansportfansite.nl/event/1230/european-under-19-individual-speedway-championship-sf2-plzen.html
  11. Me too, interesting match up, I've got both these teams down for league playoff places.

  13. At some point the point has to be raised: does the sport exist to serve league competition, or does league competition serve the sport? At its core, speedway (and all professional sport) exists as entertainment, and it's unthinkable to imagine a cinema - for example - that has no films showing on some weeks. Consider what you want from your enterprise - one, two, three, even four home meetings a month - and make the league fit that, not the other way round.
  14. Looking forward to watching this one tonight. Never been disappointed with the racing at Redcar, hopefully a great meeting. I feel this tie could well come down to how Grmek gets on tonight, he and Klima have never seen the place as far as I know and with Spencer unlikely to do much scoring, we'll need Anze to compete and score fairly well, hopefully he does.
  15. MPT really isn't the answer, he's not going to match R/R where Cook, Cooper & Jody can take the rides.
  16. With all due respect Doyle's best years are behind him ( still a force to be reckon with on his day) but hopefully Dan has many years ahead of him and would score more points at home IMO.
  17. I agree its probably time to call it a day, real shame as Craig has a real talent but he is constantly letting himself and others down. Whatever happens the promotion has a problem as a replacement wont be an easy find, it may even require two changes however the rest of the team are performing as required so very difficult call.
  18. Retire would be the best option for him and the Team.
  19. Has he been suspended though? I haven't heard anything. We don't know what has caused this sudden decline in his mental health. Maybe he has issues at home. Either way, we don't know and won't know. We can only hope he's okay now and he does what's best for him and the team
  20. Yesterday
  21. ... or call the next few matches off until he's ready to return?
  22. The only report I've seen mentioned him getting something like 4 bonus points in an early season match. I'm presuming the above do not include BP's?
  23. Not a great many options to replace Castagna, maybe give MPT a 28 day contract, see if he can impress? If he doesn't bring Paco back.
  24. I think he will tbh Gavan but Doyley's NSS average will be a lot lower than Bewley's imo.
  25. I think our season now depends on how Ace Jody and Jake get on now. if charles comes back he will be a bit rusty and we maybe have not got the heat leaders to support that so we need to score points lower down.
