Sheffield v Leicester- 25th June

And you’re the one saying a couple of posts back “It really cannot be taken seriously as a sport”. your idea above would see a top heat leader “substituted” by a NDL learner which is hardly the way to ensure a competitive meeting is it? -

To be fair I’m not sure more than one mention for Dan was needed? It was a review of the meeting and he wasn’t in it. Howarth on the other hand, WAS involved in the meeting and him uncharacteristically scoring zero especially at reserve, is a deserved talking point. -
This is the type of stuff that ALL clubs need to do far more of. You go on some clubs’ social media and official websites and they’re mostly incredibly poor. Some rarely get updated at all and it comes across as they really can’t be bothered. It’s such an easy and simple thing to do and this is the kind of thing Coleman was talking about in terms of lack of promoting. Keep the X posts flowing, Facebook, Official websites, ram in down people’s throats regularly and keep all the clubs in the forefront of their supporters minds. Its not a hard thing to do.

Good, or wouldn't be British Speedway if there weren't at least one rider missing 👏

Hi Robinh88, I had this post pointed out to me, I have watched this footage back as have no memory of saying Mitch was tired. Indeed, having watched the heat back I did not say Mitch was tired, even once. I said, he's had a busy afternoon up to now taking 6 of his 7 rides, this due to be the 7th. Which was factually the case, and was disappointingly lacking comedy. - Today

Next seasons' top tier points limit has just been announced... 24 (including the Rising Star at 2.00).... Voted in 5 to 1.....

Pick an off night or use guests. Despite so few meetings so far this year, fixtures have been littered with guests, as they often are. When it comes to the playoffs we regularly ride any day of the week anyway, its not as if it can't be done.

He admitted live on the telly box a few weeks back that he didn’t make himself too popular with the others by publicly backing his riders over the insurance stuff but he just laughed it off. Don’t think he’s the least bit bothered to be honest. He was getting on absolutely fine with Mark Lemon last night though. They were have a good laugh and a chat for a good half hour before the meeting. We had a chat with him ourselves a few weeks ago at the rained off meeting. He was just inside the gates with Andrew Chisholm as we walked in, puffing away on his fag (isn’t Foxhall a no smoking zone? 😂) and swigging his pint 😁 no airs and graces with him, he seems a genuine down to earth bloke and is very approachable. He had time to chat and answer questions to anyone that was asking him.

Toss a coin -
I agree. He seems to be someone who has a long term plan (not heard that in speedway before!) and has definite ideas how the sport should be run. Can only be good for the sport in general if he can deliver. Wonder what the other promoters think of him?

Best rider/s for coming from the back.

I watched Emil Sayfutdinov win from the back after missing the gate at the showground in his first ride, don’t think he’d ever been there before either. -
It will be the ones that ain’t there

I think many where hoping for a bit of a statement appointment to show a real desire to challenge the next level GoN is a solid choice but not the 'sexy' one I actually think it was all but sorted before the KMc announcement was made and the usual media frenzy that followed was just window dressing -
Which riders are missing tonight?
