I hope Scunny take this legal. There is clear video evidence of Cook having both wheels off the track and the ref has seen this and still not acted upon it. A complete pussy, blind or just plain dumb? What was he scared of if he changed the decision, a couple of OAP's throwing their program boards at him or the infamous nonce shouting abuse at him? The result should be amended to list Scunny as champions and that bottlejob of a ref have his license removed. A sad, sad day for the sport.

The White Knight started following Ipswich to be renamed the NEW NATIONAL STADIUM ?
-
Well, I can't get my head around Ipswich having the National Stadium. There should be only ONE National Speedway Stadium and that is in Manchester. Purpose built, arguably the very best race track in the Country and is easily accessible from all parts of the Country for GP's, Championships etc. Unless I am picking this up wrong, once again, British Speedway has shot itself in the foot. No offence to Ipswich Fans - but - it is a joke - and a bad one at that.

I would like to hear why the ref made the decision he did. I can understand the Scunny frustrations as both of Cooks wheels crossed the white line. There was also a blatant tyre warming incident by a Poole rider in the first leg which went unpunished, there were clouds of smoke coming from the tyre it was that obvious.

What a horrible and sad way to end an incredibly exciting climax to the league. Scunthorpe were clearly robbed by another joke of a decision by a referee. Paul Carrington bottled it and wanted to leave Wimborne Road in one piece. Unfortunately all it does is bring the sport into disrepute and British speedway loses even more integrity which it can ill afford to do at present. This is just another of a long line of absolute clangers being pulled by referees who either need more training or more help. It’s also hot on the heels of Christina Turnbull’s decision to let a heat go ahead last night when the riders were clearly in the wrong gates. It just looks amateurish. Scunthorpe are champions in my eyes. They put up a fabulous rearguard action to take it to the Super Heat led by Picko who has been on another level this season. For me, they DID pull off the impossible.

They should. There is clear video evidence of not only Cook crossing the white line tonight, but Cairns warming his tyres at Scunthorpe last week. Had he been excluded - as was the absolute correct decision - the tonight doesn’t go to a super heat; Scunthorpe are champions after fifteen heats. Only in speedway, could the underdog be cheated.
-
Cook wouldn’t have deliberately gone over the white line so it’s not cheating. It’s the referee that has to be made accountable. it’s inconclusive the pictures that were shown. You can make any angle fit a narrative and so if it goes for you it’s great , if it goes against you then it’s rubbish. Pretty classless of Scunthorpe though not to accept their medals. Fans have made a long journey not to be acknowledged by the team.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Poole cheated though - I’ve seen that said a lot both here and on Facebook. The fault lies purely with the referee. Cook made a bold move and obviously wasn’t trying to ride off the track, that was just a misjudgement, not “cheating”. The referee had the replays, took the time to look at them (according to BSN), yet bottled the decision. Being unreasonably generous, he may have been a little scared for his safety if he had made the right decision, but that’s really no excuse. Regardless, I hope the relevant authorities act to correct his mistake.

But Poole are use to and enjoy winning this way So many times over the years they have got away with bending rules or cheating as some call it Remember the dodgy tapes against workington every time comets were in front race was stopped when Poole were in front start Marshall run over and held tapes up
