  1. Past hour
  2. Indeed. Meeting off until next Friday. Will Nick Morris still be the Tigers guest as he's at Plymouth in the cup final the following night
  3. As a Sheffield supporter I went last night. Thankfully my pacemaker kept going through the super heat, but as a spectical the meeting was nothing to write home about. True Leicester made a brilliant fight back but the track was poor. No dirt, no water and a blue line by heat 4. We could have had the meeting in the supermarket car park then I wouldn't have come home covered in the red fog that made viewing hard at times. Just on another note anyone have any idea why Steady called the ref to the pits at about heat 12. I'm sure that it will have made good television as no doubt the comentaters will have been beside themselves. That;s not me having a pop at BSN they do a great job.
  4. Rushen needs to leave King's Lynn for sure as the Club is cursed imo. They're the Tottenham FC of Speedway and I'm a Spurs fan so I would know lol. Doesn't matter what King's Lynn do in regards to signings because nothing ever sticks and the season's will always play out the same way as the year before.
  5. But you also said "Leicester are better without Fricke are they?" Obviously I agree it's better to have a top rider for the big heats, but it's not as simple as that, otherwise Lynn would be in the play-offs. Fricke riding for Leicester may have won heats 13 & 15, but a weaker rider elsewhere could have scored less, countering Fricke's contribution. If Howarth didn't retire or Masters didn't lose form, Leicester still would've made it. I don't think k you can just pick up on not choosing Fricke being the sole "difference".
  6. Nothing wrong with the team that was picked, just the way it performed. Could maybe question the Paco/Jenkins signings as they never worked out but the team failed because Fricke's average dropped alarmingly and he never looked comfortable at Lynn, and because Cook & Kvech failed to kick on. The promotion need to find out why those things happened.
  7. Glad Sheffield won the Super Heat tbh. I'm not having a dig as Leicester done very well on the night just to fight back so kudos to them for that. From a fan perspective the Lions are just as bad as the Witches around the NSS so it wouldn't have been much of a spectacle if the Lions did come through the Super Heat.
  8. To be fair I think quite a few fans thought this years team looked good, I doubt manh thought they were last pick faces. Ipswich look more like last pick faces.
  9. Today
  10. I attend few domestic meetings, but do attend the play off finals that the Aces are in.. Why?.. Not because I see the winning of a UK Team Speedway title has any major relevance in its current guise, but the finals do provide some atmosphere which you associate with a team sport... In short, they are something worth attending if you like live sport... 400 or so Aces fans at Sheffield, stood on turns three and four, a few years ago, meant a superb night of watching sport, with the racing only being "OK" at best... Standing with 200 or so at Leicester a couple of years ago on the first turn also made the evening a great spectacle... Plenty of banter between rival fans, plenty of pee taking of the opposition managers, and riders, and no malice in sight... If UK Speedway had that many away fans at EVERY meeting then it would be in a hugely more successful position..... Your Team. Your Riders... Win, lose or draw, that is how a team sport should be if you want people to emotionally engage with it... Glad the Aces got Sheffield as several hundred will descend on Owlerton next week... Should be a great atmosphere...
  11. There's the crux, as that's not quite true. Winning, consistent sides tend to manage to hold on to their main guys. At King's Lynn, they consistently hold on to year on year, even bad rider's for too long. There's actually quite a lot of consistency in teams, it just doesn't feel like it when you're turning up to meetings and getting whipped, especially at home. If things continue as is at King's Lynn, you can guarantee it's the same ol' 'last pick' faces again in 2027.
  12. Clearly didn't read what I said 🙄 "When it comes to those crunch moments in big matches, a genuine No1 makes a huge huge difference."
  13. I laugh when people open their mouth on here and think they are clever without knowing facts. I’ve always stated guests are a joke FOR and AGAINST my club. I want to win a trophy with my team, not a bunch of guests who have nothing to do with why we got to the final.
  14. Masters cost lions in heat 14. He should be winning that. Great watch for the neutral though. Going to be some final
  15. No thank you. Last thing people want when going to speedway is for fans to start intimidating each other. Good luck Ipswich with this guy in charge if this is his big idea for speedway- you'll certainly need it.
  16. I'd be very sad to see Cooper and Jody up and leave Kings Lynn. One way to keep your fans is to keep riders who connect with the local fanbase. If they could possibly work it to get Rob Lambert back - and perhaps make some changes at the management level, then maybe the locals will stick with the team and come and out and support in greater numbers? I hate the constant churn of riders. I mean I feel no connection to Max Fricke, he's simply the newest hired gun. TBH every rider in the League pretty much moves and rides for a new team every couple of years, you don't get many riders who stay at one club that long, anymore. It's musical chairs. Sadly.
  17. As a neutral Ryan Douglass is riding so well at the moment is their any way with speedway being open to rule breakes that he =could maybe come in as guest for flu victim Rowe if he chucks a sick note at the right time!!!!
  18. How easy would it be if the worst thing came out of this and Lambert decides to race on a Polish licence?IS it just a signature on a a piece of paper or does it go deeper then that that with complex lists of doing stuff for the nation of the counrtry he is riding for?Maybe a stupid question but do you have to do national service in Poland for example which!! might put him off
  19. Did you make the same complaint about guests in 2023 when Bomber rode for you in the semi final ? Or was it only wrong when he then rode against you in the final ?
  20. Yesterday
  21. But Leicester finished higher than Lynn who signed Fricke. With Fricke, Leicester would've had to be weaker elsewhere.

  23. Yeah, on the last lap maybe should've tried to get in the way of Pickering more, rather than going for the win
