What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
gjcone44 replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
i know where you are coming from same for me, when i stopped riding winter of 88 , i stopped going just seeing the odd meeting for a good 15 years, only started going again regular when the new track opened at Bellevue, was there for the 1st meeting that turned into a farce, but knew that track would be good once it was put right. taking my dad for the last years he had left in his life and the reason i had a go, at racing. Still enjoy it even going to Poland to watch meetings, but will get by if no premiere league racing. this year, getting to old now for it to be the centre of my life. - Today

It would impact mine, it’s been my life since I went to my first meeting when my parents took me when I was 1 and nothing has ever come close so I would be devastated -
Inverness a new team to help out the premiership will ride in red and white to try and cause confusion with that other Scottish club 😃

I’m always amazed by those who take the moral high ground without knowing the facts of those who they belittle -
Surely they have to be looking at Perry pretty sure he has outscored every reserve that rode at Berwick this year

Edinbrugh

Bit further north.

Happy with the start, all depends on Kemp, and if we can get a suitable replacement. Talk of Hume, Smith doesn’t excite me at all. Intrigued by the Lambert rumours, it’s about time he was a Bandit.
-
Signing Hume, Smith and Wood and its another season over before they even turn a wheel. I know people like him because hes a good fella and got a bad injury last year but Hume would be a terrible signing. I fully expect Hume to be signed.

As much as us paying public love speedway, if the sport disappeared off the face of the earth, we might miss it but it would not have a significant impact on our lives. Whereas riders and those (supposedly) running the sport would be the ones hit hardest. -
If there is no Premier League in 2026, would Leicester want to try to join the Championship? And if so, would they be allowed in? Would they be part of a long (5 teams) or a short (2 teams) queue?
-
What about Kildeman, Morris,Lambo,Hume, Wood and another 2 with 13.40 left I think

I am often amazed by those business who ignore, and often ridicule, their most important asset - their paying customers! -

I'm always amazed by the comments from those who have never set up any business/sport team about those who have got off their backsides and tried something, often putting their own cash in as well as sponsors. -
They ride in red and white.

I don't disagree with anything you've said, but I was replying to a post that said Poole should "break the bank" to sign Bailey.
-
Tate could still have a decent career but he hasn't been helped by having 3 big bangs which would have dented his confidence and held him back , plus some worky supporters were saying his machinery leaves a bit to be desired. Its the same for Bailey, Rushden and Cairns they need good organisation from the get go an in an ideal world need to avoid big smashes in the early days whilst they are finding their feet.

Here you go the lad in action
