This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. Appears no time recorded for super heat by ref:- https://britishspeedway.co.uk/26results/edinburgh_07.08.26_res.pdf Re heat 9, it did appear Sedgy it came off unaided, & I spoke to a pal watching the live stream & he thought the same. Maybe something mechanical or a rut on the track?
  3. Today
  4. Doubt having the SWC Semi-final on the Friday followed by a SGP meeting on the Sat helped the track. Even with the track improvements with banking + the kerb moved to make an inside line possible the meeting was a procession on the most part. Always seem to remember Riga being pretty dire racing at the best of times. SGP came down to two gates and as the meeting came to its conclusion whoever had the inside gate. Gate three was an absolute graveyard.
  5. I heard this later this week but with the site laying there as a derelict site and potential security , health and safety issues the Council may say one thing now BUT we all know money tends to dictate and with councils continually looking to find more + more funds and with Wealden District Council reported to have debts of over ยฃ53 million that may all change in time, possibly aftera couple of fires or a travellers circus on the site ...
  6. Ok I will take the bait. Binns did ride well and scored 9. His reserve partner 0. The buxton reserves scored 8 between them. Not exactly non contributors.
  7. This year was amazing racing and 100% better than Riga over the years and especially this year. Riga has consistently been dire. And not to be harsh, but Czech Republic is much nicer than Latvia. Plus the flights to Riga are a joke when you look at the country you are visiting.
  8. I will tell you why most of the Speedway/Greyhound Stadia raced midweek, it was where Greyhounds owned the stadiums, Friday & Saturday were the nights where they would get most spectators through the gate, nowadays it's the live streaming to shops where the money is they aint bothered about spectators because it costs money to run stadiums for spectators, streaming a meeting costs very little by comparison and the income is greater.
  9. As with most decisions and agreements in speedway its more than likely not worth the paper its written on, what happens if a club is sold and the new owners do not wish to run premiership? What if the present owners have decided that they have lost enough money already and don't fancy another season of it? Remember this is British Speedway and its made up of what ifs and maybe's, nothing can be taken as gospel or a certainty.
  10. True. Meant to say leading upto the playoffs.
  11. All premiership clubs this year have signed up to a 3 year premiership deal.
  12. Literally one race away from disaster and the bookmaker going into administration! You live for another day ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
  13. On the average watch for next year, wouldnโ€™t be completely surprised to see him back along the road next year. Of course would love him to stay.
  14. Been thinking about the format and how could the powers that be offer a bit extra value for money and/or entertainment. So an idea sprung to mind for the top flight, how about introducing a "Premier league Shootout Series" End of the meeting, the top 4 scorers from both teams race against each other But a 1 lap shootout, one rider selected from each side, so basically 4 Heats of a Sprint. The home team selects the rider they are putting up and then the away team pairs them up with who they select. Has no baring on the overall meeting score but heats are scored 1-0, the shootout series has a separate league table End of season, top 4 qualify for an old style 4TT hosted by the club finishing top of the shootout series I.e. a potential big money generating meeting 1 lap sprints also doesn't put a great deal of cost on the rider.

  18. VISA's I agree, Easier to set up base but the reasoning to set up in Britain is beyond Speedway related for most Aussie's. Family comes first as we all know.
  19. Speedway GP weekends are always great regardless of the standard of the racing at the event itself. Prague, one of the best weekends on the calendar with possibly the least entertaining racetrack on the GP circuit.
  20. Laguta leads his team to victory over Zmarzlik. That is a message to Bartosz. Laguta is basically saying your world titles are meaningless.
  21. did Scunny replace the injured Dan Gilkes with Jacob Hook after the 75% point ?

  23. Another decent afternoons racing and considering it is free to watch, no one should really complain. Thanks to the guys who make the viewing happen and the riders who never give up as well as the supporters in the stadiums who really make it a spectacle. Look forward to the next round. Thanks
  24. Would agree his gating has been poor at this level and itโ€™s costing him.But his class and skill level keeps him in the hunt.He still makes passes that others can only dream off.
