No it isn’t sensible, the control board should set out a pay structure and enforce it and riders either take it or leave it, if an amateur rider can’t make it pay that’s tough, it’s amatuer, until we get away from entitlement for riders we will never move forward, nobody wanted to listen when I tried to cut costs for riders, well fine you made your bed don’t complain when the springs stick in your back . I don’t care how any promotion make their money or how much money they haven’t got all I care is the future of the sport and at the moment it doesn’t have one
-
A sensible post on bsf, you be careful. I would like to add that It shouldn't be any of our business either or how any promotion make their money , be it selling badges or robbing banks.

I wasn’t actually thinking outside speedway but yes you are 100% correct it is the world

Not just here in Speedway either Isn't that very much the way of the world in general at present -
Maybe the week after, who knows 😅

I am surprised because when you know and chat to the people involved in the sport they all see the issues and problems and some even have great ideas and solutions but when they get together they seem to suffer group think and those ideas disappear into outer space. Something that always resonates with me was a conversation I had when I was working for Adam skornicki, Adam is a deep thinker about the sport and despite not being credited with it a major influence in the continued polish rider gravy train, anyway I asked Adam why he doesn’t get the top jobs in Poland and he said because all that happens is you become one of them, your ideas are sucked up and spit out and nothing changes and I can’t be that person, is that what happens here?

I think we shall hear something later this week or possibly early next week. 😉 -
I don’t buy into this rule, imo this ageist rule has been a big contributor to the lack of riders in the sport over a couple of decades now, I think the national league should be open to any rider no matter how old or how experienced they be, if they want to ride in it then they should be allowed to, the only thing is they ride for £20 per point and no more and that should be sufficient to limit the number of experienced riders who are just there for a pay day which unfortunately is allowed to happen too many times, it’s an amateur league with too many expectant professionals in it, I’ve been in and around the national league probably more than anyone else, I’ve seen the changes, the rules, the money and the jealousy from the higher up clubs and the riders walk away from the sport and to me we are just doing the same thing and expecting a better outcome but isn’t that speedway all over

It is a total sh*tshow isnt it?.. But.. Let's be honest.. Anyone who has followed UK Speedway for any decent length of time, are not really surprised in any way shape or form are they?... Just par for the course...

Have TNT committed to the new season? If not I doubt they will now with no fixture list. I'm sure broadcasting schedules have to be planned a few months in advance. This could be the first time since 1998 that no live British League speedway has been shown on TV. If there is no television or media exposure sponsors will not be interested. This is turning into a very sad state of affairs and although I've mentioned it before I do feel this Redknapp thing is a big publicity stunt that nobody cares about.

Per the 2025 Regs 05.1.2 Inflatable APD’s must be inspected 7 years after installation, thereafter annually by the SCB Track Inspectors, to certify that it remains fit for purpose up to a maximum of 10 years. Non-inflatable APD’s will be inspected during the 3 yearly Homologation Inspection.

No way is a track fitting in there

Yep they will have eyes on all that lovely council tax they can hoover up by putting as many small boxes as they can squeeze onto the site.

Another money making racket

Young, as in ice speedway young? Haaruhiltenen, Huusko, N Svensson and probably Koivula who showed himself well last year

I completely get that Kenzie gets an average after 4 fixtures and he knew (or should have known the implications) what is wrong is dropping the lower limit to 2.00 and allowing those who achieved under 3.00 to race on be signed on their lower number. Then the team building limit gets jumped back up to 42 allowing stronger sides and if sub 3 point riders are signed a bigger gulf in class. A 9-10 point rider and a 2 point rider in the same heat is unlikely to produce good racing or a huge deal of entertainment.

That is the Midland/Northern Development League. It is difficult enough for NL riders to make it to the Championship; your suggestion would make it impossibe.
-
To be fair to Alfie like all other riders he is free to ask for what he likes and its the promotions job to decide if he's worth that amount. There's a stand off waiting to happen, promotions will have to start saying no but i respect that riders shouldn't have to leave home knowing they will make a big loss.

Is it a self imposed regulation that air fences need to be replaced after a set amount of time, rather than the actual condition it is in? Or is the shelf life set by the manufacturer?

I'm still totally devastated he cost the Colts the title .. No idea when it was, or that he even rode for them... But I am truly devastated nevertheless... In fact, I may never get over it ...😁
