  2. BIRMINGHAM: Tobiasz Musielak, Paco Castagna, Jonas Jeppesen, Keynan Rew, Matej Zagar, Ben Barker, Sam Hagon. SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Anders Rowe, Nick Morris, Josh Pickering, Chris Holder, Jye Etheridge, Leon Flint.
  3. I somehow don’t believe that if they are serious and the facility gets built they are aiming for NDL but who knows.
  4. I believe the 500 figure represents the average attendance across all teams in 2019. Speedway doesn’t officially release attendance data, so it’s just their estimation. According to their statement, they estimate around 700 spectators on average, with a peak of 1500 during the playoff finals. I think that figure is low, but then that’s how they justify the requirement of other events for stadium viability. I agree with you that fans of all clubs should support this application, however cynical they are of it, as it’s the only chance of Speedway returning to the Swindon area.
  5. Tobies Thomsen suggests Lynn have given up hope of a top 4 spot - no disrespect but he's not PL 6 point standard and likely to have a field day at reserve.. and do well to match kemp and Joe Thompson
  6. But if crowds are (say) twice/three times that much wouldn't it just lead the application being turned down on traffic grounds?
  7. Today
  8. Simon Lambert was the fastest Scorpion last night and he wasn't even on his bike when he proved it.
  9. Fun fact: Each of the top five riders in the Tigers team have over an 8 point average* for the season after Nagel's performance last night. *not GSA
  10. If the number one of a team gets to ride in heat eight that means the missing rider is the second highest scorer for his team. So no real issue there although a bit of a waste to put a number one in such a relatively (for him) easy race. A much better rule would be that a team must use RR before a guest can be used and where a guest is required (i.e. because two riders are missing) then the guest is used as a substitute for the lower average rider. The RR rule should be adjusted to allow any rider whose average is higher than the missing rider to be used once and twice if the RR is lower than the missing rider. However, RR facility should only be allowed for the same rider for 5 consecutive meetings after which the facility is withdrawn in favour of a guest with an average two points below that of the missing rider which will continue until the rider returns or the team sign a replacement rider. The above may need some tweaking, but the essence is to force teams to use RR and reduce/remove the use of guests.
  11. I think anyone who knows their stuff or doesn't have an agenda can see that clearly.
  12. Hopefully the rain comes!! As Tobias Thomsen is guesting at reserve tomorrow night… maybe no Lawson either looking at his latest Facebook post
  13. Were Glasgow just really good or were scunny that bad ?me personally I think the Glasgow riders are just getting the track set up right after a few weeks consistent racing and our reserves together are scoring a lot more than their average, Villads is scoring nearly double his average max last night and the rest are scoring over there ave too ,We seem to have a great team sprit in the pits this year just need to keep this up
  14. Excellent stuff from Kurtz. New track for him, slow start, pressure of the LCQ and then last gate choice for the final when making the start was crucial. I thought he'd start to fall away slightly towards the end of the series but he's just getting better at the moment.
  15. Like Luke thought he’d end up riding in that position at the start of the season. Shows how dreadful the rest of the scorpions have been. Once again the good old British speedway “fans” bagging our up and coming talent.
  16. Of course - easy to forget what day of the week it is Although surely that was Sheffields Lewis Kerr and this time they would be using Pooles Lewis Kerr
  17. I am sure Will and his family keep him grounded and same applies to Cooper. They are young, keen and eager to do well, just need to keep the pressure off so they develop in their own time.
  18. Glasgow to win it and Scunthorpe to bin it just below Berwick
  19. Leszno v Krosno match time is now 4.45pm UK time because of rain Canal + 360
  20. Guessing you haven't seen much racing at Wroclaw before. It's a great track.
