But they have investment or bias in a club so nothing will change
-
So a no to the new Northampton promoter introducing himself in his tracky bottoms then 😂
-
I agree and this should extend to the mechanics and officials too, optics matter
-
Still nothing?

If it does contrary to rod Godfrey saying they all get on, they don’t and within time ego’s will come into play (they always do in any business)hopefully it’s a big success and makes money to keep those ego’s at bay

If this starts to go wrong does the new promoter get picked on by the other 5 playground bullies?

Belle Vue v Sheffield KOC March 30th 7.30pm
InTheDeepStuff replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Feeling this will be a close one, majority of the Belle Vue riders have had a good amount of sparring matches/ Individuals in Poland and the odd UK outing where as Sheffield have a couple without much true racing action which could give Belle Vue the upper hand. Hopefully there’s some good action between Bewley, Kurtz, Holder bros and Pickering and not too much follow the leader races. Just based on it being early doors and the odd rusty rider going for a home win for Belle Vue 47-43 -
I just hope mark doesn’t bring himself, too many cooks and all that, ego’s will soon come in to play

It was just too entertaining this close season although in hindsight sometimes ignorance is bliss as it's left me exasperated at times! -
Sounds logical to me. In Bandit Country So hopefully all of the fans from the old Flying Foxes days and their descendents will be connecting and turning up in good numbers.

Can’t make it across to this one so will follow the updates. Two good looking teams. Think whichever 1 and 5 can score the most will win their team the meeting. Going 48-42 home win -

I found that odd also. Second choice of gates and picked the worst. -

Interesting to read that other Premiership Promoters now have a ‘vested interest’ in the club so which promoter will be named as the ‘Tutor’ as all new promoters are supposed to have one ? Sounds like going back to the old days when one promoter ran several clubs . Do recall that not being within the rules but that book is simply ‘advice’ these days it seems.

That's the race night+ experience. You can have normal admission for £25, or £23 if entitled to concession. -
I’d agree with that and it would no doubt help in speedways much needed aspect of creating personalities, good & bad for fans to engage with.
-
Can’t approve a track that they haven’t finished building yet .

Is it really the case that people won’t attend due to the name Foxes? If so I’m either really laid back or out of touch with modern sensibilities. I just hope Mark doesn’t bring along his bleedin’ podium.

So Leicester were called the Hunters at the same time as the Brafield Flying Foxes existed. 😉 Far from it being an 'attempted appropriation' or a 'lack of local knowledge', it is historically accurate in returning to the name of the original team that rode at the same stadium. Most 'older' stock car fans still refer to the stadium as Brafield rather than Northampton.

Looking at the fixture at Owlerton, is it correct that the only Adult tickets available online are £35? Ouch! I’ll be 10mins away that day so will pop along to enjoy the racing. -
And used to be called "Hunters" because of the county's association with Foxes and Fox Hunting
