  1. Past hour
  2. Certainly thick Dick.Need to move with the times😂
  3. Indeed. Sam read them himself, despite the fact Poole never spoke to him about it and he never spoke to them. All you can do is trust officially confirmed signings. Which for Oxford so far are Sam Masters and Luke Killeen - anything else is just a rumour
  4. Today
  5. Buys extra time to generate funds though. If I was a Plymouth regular I'd be happy to pay £50 a month throughout the season to help keep my club open. But I can't just drop £500 in one go...
  6. It's still a debt that has to be repaid .
  7. I've got a big soft spot for Plymouth, I don't know why I just do. I've only visited 3 times (twice before the track upgrades and once after) and I just love the place. They always put some interesting teams out too. I've done my bit towards the air fence fund, hopefully it's enough in the end. If the air fence isn't sorted until 2028, could Plymouth join the NORA league for a season just to keep speedway alive in Devon? I know the air fence rules aren't quite as strict in the NORA league. I think IF the air fence is sorted and Plymouth run, the team may be built on quite a budget. I'm thinking something with Ben Barker at number 1 and possibly the return of the likes of Kyle Newman and Ben Trigger at reserve. Good luck Plymouth, if you run I'll definitely make it a goal to visit next season, it's just so far away for me.
  8. I've been there a couple couple of times in the last 2 years. Track might not be the best, but the setup there is very good and have enjoyed both trips and been made very welcome. Fingers crossed they get the funds, but watching that video with Phillips, he didn't seem very confident they'd run next year.
  9. i get 8.37 as well Victor + Senna possibly
  10. Everything at Redcar needs a revamp. The team has stagnated, the track gets worse as the season drags on and the management personnel need replacing. New owners , possibly the bloke ( jed? )that was involved with peterborough should be given the opportunity to buy it all out . The half dozen times i visited this season were pretty disappointing.
  11. Thats a pretty poor statement from Doyle, hes either intentionally or unintentionally annoyed a lot of Ipswich fans by saying that. Can't believe he didnt enjoy winning the league last season so presumably means enjoying 2026 again but should have worded it better.
  12. So you don’t attend due to other people not attending. It wasn’t a given that The Aces would qualify until part way into the season. Why did you not attend for those earlier meetings? PCMT was on a Monday. Hope you enjoyed it. If you like variety just watch the other teams visit once, like the good old days. You would get your variety and the club would get five extra ticket sales. Jason didn’t help Sheffield qualify at all. Take his points away verses Kings Lynn and it would have been 2 points off the tigers and 2 to the stars, meaning Sheffield still qualify. Take his points off for the lions meeting and Sheffield would still have won the meeting. All the TV deals done for the last 30 years have all been clinched whilst the guest system was in place. The guest system has been around for (what feels like) ever. Why is Nicolai so different to Jim McMillan guesting for The Aces in our most famous KO cup win in 1973? I do agree that a new signing should be allowed but with this site as evidence the majority of fans wouldn’t like it and prefer guests. There was a lady offering free face painting for kids and adults alike. The presentation was our usual apart from the flames near the start line.

  14. I believe your maths is wrong, taking into account the 2.5% British reductions there's 8.37 left for the last 2 riders. Jake Allen and a 2.00er fit perfectly: 1 Nick Morris 7.80 2 Jye Etheridge © 6.32 3 Jake Allen 6.37 4 Reid Battye 5.32 5 Drew Kemp 7.14 6 Jordan Jenkins 5.05 7 Summers/Fletcher 2.00 40.00 Could also go with Jason Edwards rather than Jake Allen or Victor Palovaara and Max Perry rather than Jake Allen and 2.00er.
  15. What a night and what a hangover yesterday. Had a wonderful time celebrating with the lads in the Craven suite after a terrific season and a superb finish. More of the same next year please. Just a note about Mark, yes he’s no Stewart Dickson or Rob Lyon but to achieve gold at domestic and international level again is no mean feat.
  16. I get that and as a competition the Premiership needs a massive overhaul but I really don't think the season itself has been any worse than the last two or three , although I accept the bar is a low one. We desperately need new teams and riders, less guests, less doubling up and a better fixture list. And for promoters to follow Mr Coleman. In the meantime congrats to Belle Vue, this title doesnt and shouldn't feel any different to any others.

  18. Couldn’t disagree more. You seem to be forgetting that 2 teams this year were at a severe disadvantage to the other 4 and that meant the league lacked any kind of fairness or integrity I’m afraid. Someone made the point that other teams in the past haven’t been competitive but that’s just not the same is it. They had just as much chance as anyone else to build a side but blew it. Tough.
  19. I'm not sure the season has been that bad or certainly not in comparison to other recent ones, sure one team has dominated and I appreciate all the jeopardy in the Play Offs was absent but there's been a lot of hyperbole on here not really warranted. Of course we desperately need a couple more sides and an injection of fresh, interesting new riders but thats been the case for several years. As always we live in hope for next season so fingers and toes crossed.

  21. No matter how many teams in a league you will always have a divide between those at the top and those at the bottom, the less teams you have doesn’t change that parameter. A top four from a league of 12 will be more equally matched than the top four from a league of 6. A play off system with the top four involved should only happen if the league has at least 9 clubs minimum. For leagues of 7/8 teams it should be 2rd vs 3rd with winner playing 1st, and for a leagues of 6 teams or less it should be scrapped completely.
  22. No, averages too high. Morris, Battye, Kemp, Jenkins and Etheridge leaves 7.77 for 2 riders (assuming 40 total and that my maths is right). Leaves options along the lines of: Palovaara and a 2 pointer; Or Dayle Wood and Hodder/Foord; Or Mitchell Cluff and Sam Hagon/a 4.00 newcomer. Solid looking team so far, especially around Shielfield. Personally I'd guess Wood and Hodder as the reserves, but Cluff can't go Armadale at all and is a good gater so could be a shrewd signing for Berwick
  23. The meeting just about summed up the Redcar season, promised much but disappointed. The ‘guest track curator ‘ got the track wrong, too much loose stuff resulting in Doyle not lasting one bend. Track blading required meaning delays on a cold damp night and not much overtaking to talk about. Not very entertaining. Swales got his good crowd but a few drifted away, surprised to see Charles Wright in the crowd . Thought young Southwick was the surprise rider, Lawson should have been the winner but thats the result of second chance finals and Kemp took it. Heres to a Redcar revamp in 2027.
  24. Yesterday
  25. As Leicester will be looking for a new rising star in 2027 on tonight’s and previous performances I think Jordy Loftus may be an option as does seem to ride the Leicester track well and with another strong Australian influence in the team could be a good environment for him to develop further . As Jen alluded to after the meeting there is some very exciting news coming in a couple of weeks at Leicester which will show commitment to the sport
