This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. Those in charge of the sport have created their own self inflicted nadir. It is not just about Ipswich or Mayfield (assuming they are officially the new owners of the Witches) it is collectively where the sport goes from here. Club owners/promoters are treating loyal supporters with such contempt, riders think the punters owe them a living and the up and coming talent is squeezed out by the double uppers who selfishly could not care one iota about the pipe stream of potential talent that is trying to break into the sport. Promoters, management and double uppers are the ruinous tribe who are bringing the sport to its knees and for it to survive a radical shake up is needed. Ipswich have ignited an issue but in reality the sport is on its knees and things need to change.
  3. You're totally missing the point ! If they cant lay on a buffet, how the heck do you expect Coleman / Mayfield to run the SGP, be team principal for a MotoGP team, possibly run Ipswich Witches AND have an involvement in Formula 1 ?
  4. Oh you're in the cult, too ? I am certainly not Polish ! You are referencing a different company ! Well done on your attempt at willful misdirection though ! See here: MAYFIELD SPORTS EVENTS LIMITED overview - Find and update company information - GOV.UK MAYFIELD SPORTS EVENTS LIMITED 16629633 - Incorporated on 5 August 2025 15 High Street, Brackley, Northamptonshire, England, NN13 7DH Registered office address 15 High Street, Brackley, Northamptonshire, England, NN13 7DH Company status Active Company type Private limited Company Incorporated on 5 August 2025 Accounts First accounts made up to 31 August 2026 due by 5 May 2027 Confirmation statement First statement date 4 August 2026 due by 18 August 2026 Nature of business (SIC) 93199 - Other sports activities If we get to the end of the 2026 British speedway season, with the involvement of Mayfield Sports Events, and the 2026 Speedway SGP season, then I will gladly eat humble pie, as it will mean that the sport hasnt been damaged, but thre is a long way to go between now and October...
  5. Yes he does get called Chris who know him but it’s cvs to the speedway world
  6. Trust me he isn’t, he isn’t looking for land and he isn’t trying to get back into monmore, we contacted entain ourselves a month back and he wasn’t interested himself, I think if it was 20 years ago then maybe but I think he just too old now to do it all again and I say that in a kind way not to be derogatory
  7. So in a nutshell CVS CBA probably ? Wonder if he ever gets called Chris by those closest to him while everyone else initials him
  8. Today
  9. If CVS could get things back up and running he would. I’ve not seen any indication he is no longer interested.
  10. Because firstly CVS isn’t interested and it’s time he came out and said so and more importantly CVS has no say in anything about greyhounds, Mr Phillips does and is part of not only of the board of greyhound racing but is also part of speedway futures Ltd
  11. Not sure I believe that one either to be honest. We’ll see.
  12. That’s 1 out of 14, although James is still a good rider, I don’t think your going to get another 13 of a similar standard.
  13. Where on earth has the talk of Thorssell on a 4.5 average come from? he’s easily a heat leader in any team in the UK. Barmy.
  14. Why ? I have my own opinion so don’t need to ask myself as I think I know 😊
  15. 100%. Cannot blame them... And it will be the most die hard fans that get impacted the most too... These fans are truly the life blood of the sport given the low numbers of regulars at most tracks, and many of them will plan their whole summer around their Speedway fixtures, eg. booking holidays, and planning other leisure pursuits... Your very best customers, and you are not treating them well... Not a great idea...
  16. What makes you think CVS is not the right person to talk to them?m
  17. Going by the time some say it takes to get there if he is 20 mins away that must be about a mile down the road ...
  18. Same here. Light at the end of the tunnel after all of the frustration this winter.
  19. Mayfield didn't ruin the GP's. FIM Leftists did by diluting the product when exluding Russian's and then replacing them with bang average out of depth riders in a box ticking exercise.
  20. ….. and they wonder why riders sign elsewhere
  21. What makes you think that? James Shanes has been announced as their first heat leader
  22. How is the trials bike going Roger ? I am Well qualified, being tone deaf and could not hold a tune in a bucket, yes have seen a brief clip of "Look mum no Computer" reminds me of the time I saw the band Mogwi, those sort of people must do it for their own entertainment as it does not seem to entertain a lot of others !
  23. Always helps! That’s a good base in which to start.
  24. No the other side of the world I understand and the new promoters have very deep pockets along with some great sponsors lined up
  25. We'll get another '2 week delay' this time next week... But don't worry once that 2 week delay is done, there'll be another 2 week delay. Wonder how many 2 week delays into the season they can bulls hit us with until people start to realise...
  26. If it’s 6 teams in the Premiership that really isn’t that much difference from 9 in the Championship really…I don’t get Championship speedway fans being so anti Premiership , it’s all speedway at the end of the day and I’ve happily watched both leagues and enjoyed both …I’d just like speedway to survive and hopefully thrive again yet it seems a lot of fans don’t want that
