  1. Past hour
  2. Long gone are those days... Whisper it, but watching Brady and Dan howling around the boards can actually now be "average" to watch given they do it so often.. I stopped going to Kirky Lane when watching Jason Crump howling into the bends quicker than anyone else by miles, also became "average" to watch, as he did it so often... When I watch (UK) speedway it has very little riding (pardon the pun), on it given the Mickey Mouse rules and lack of credibility, therefore it is only the racing that gets me to attend... And I attend the play offs as usually it feels like an "event" you are attending with decent crowds... Monday night was a dreadful spectacle in front of a half empty grandstand, and tonight's offering on track even worse... Anyone watching at home who are non speedway fans, but casually watching due to its Semi Final status would have done well to get to Heat 10 tonight, let alone Heat 15.. Sad to see the sport in its current state, but not sure those running it have the capability to turn it around, given they are responsible for the current state in the first place..
  3. Yes but it's you who's been harping on about the Belle Vue track all season, every opportunity, you're just perpetuating the discussion by doing so but you don't see it. Doyle has put in his share of off nights over the years, luckily for you he's currently keen to show what he's made of, a very tough dependable rider. Now jog on and enjoy your victory you nasty man.
  4. The amount of mistakes Telvin Katum has made yet again tonight while repeating the same old regurgitated phrases is unforgivable at this point. Cannot wait to get back to BSN and get away from this tinpot TNT gutter tripe.
  5. At last?? We got there 2 years ago af would have last year if we had a fit Doyle and Emil but that’s speedway Oh I’m glad we in the final but it’s nice to have a pop at your opponents when all season long all we hear is how every track should be like Belle Vue yawn If it was Doyle who had a world championship on the line and he did what Kurtz did tonight I’d be fuming
  6. It'll never happen but riders should probably be salaried, this would solve a lot of issues.
  7. Not good enough from BVs top two. Both Emil and Doyle arent what they were but Doyle has rolled back the years lately. Emil is way off it though and has been all season.
  8. One issue is that it is no longer a team sport in this country despite what is promoted. Riders are self employed throttle jockeys who make a living riding a motorcycle for whoever will pay them but ultimately they all seek the top prize and that in itself can in part be prejudiced by who pays what. Poland pays its riders top dollar and so the financial penalties of not complying are quite high. If you are a GP rider you are torn between league and world ranking and the play off arrangements perhaps distort the aspirations of clubs versus individuals hopes at top level and hence the system may need reviewing to accommodate the status of those who ply their trade on a speedway bike. It is not easy to find a balance but something needs to give.
  9. It's not about being happy with him, more a case of it being none of your business. You're through to a final at last but all you've done is slag off the opposition, that speaks volumes about you and your kind, your mate Shovlar sticking his oar in as well with stupid comments, of course Brady never rode for Poole again because they went down a league. Try being happy for your club, you're in nosebleed territory now.
  10. Saving himself for the final and making sure he is fit for his Polish fixtures.
  11. 3 things with what he said: 1. He talks about it being on the verge of a criminal offence. Well there is a police station just before you leave the stadium! Couldn't be much closer for him. 2. Needs security next time. Again police station right there!!! 3. Let's hear from these independent witnesses rather than Cami as I can't believe anyone would actually say that to a rider. Although some Oxford fans did give Vinnie death threats at Poole last season, did they not? We didn't ban them.
  12. I wouldn’t say done as he’s still better than most but I agree he’s not the rider he was last year.
  13. So much entertainment that you don't attend your local track until it's play off time, I don't blame you for that, it's your choice, the sport needs to be making you want to attend every week though.
  14. Its a weird old world isn't it? Ipswich fans are more pissed off with Brady's performance than the Aces fans .. Surely the fact that your opponents best rider was crap should be a good thing as it meant a very easy victory in a semi final of the sports premier domestic competition.... I hope Haaland plays absolutely crap on Sunday and United therefore win... If he does play crap, I definitely won't be moaning about his performance on any of the forums afterwards...
  15. If you can't see that these riders are destroying the sport in this country you are the one that should be wobbling your head. Did you see the crowd for Mondays play off semi final at the "National Speedway Stadium"? It was pathetic! Nobody came out to see these stars that would rather be elsewhere and quite rightly so. If the Captain of the Belle Vue Aces didn't want to be there for his club, the answer is simple, he should have called in sick. I'm sure Bomber would have jumped at the chance even though he's got a World Longtrack Championship to ride for at the weekend.
  16. Love Richie saying it’s all about a positive attitude and that comes from the top riders down ….. oops
  17. We can work it out it’s just the wrong attitude
  18. Yet on the podcast when Ian asked him about it he said he didn't want to talk about it!
  19. So you happy with your captain tonight then? Let’s say he made an effort and you got through to the final … then the Belle Vue fans would rightly applaud him .. so it works the other way ….. as I said you paid all your money all season to watch your team only to see them lose without so much as a whimper
  20. Sayfutdinov looks done to me, a pale shadow of the rider he was.
  21. Yes PC did that but it wasn't a club meeting, I'm fairly sure he missed an Aces meeting in the week prior and rightly so, he was on a quest for individual glory.
  22. Easy night's work in the end, Track presented BV with an opportunity but Kurtz's attitude problems put an end to any hope BV had. How any BV fan can stick up for him is beyond me, He may as well have not turnt up and BV could've booked someone like Richard Lawson to guest who would've given it 100%. Emil and Bewley struggled but it wasn't due to upcoming meetings imo, Both riders are known to be poor gaters so they were always going to struggle in those conditions. Dan Thompson who is a known gater, Flourished in those conditions and was rider of the night imo. BV's best rider was Norick Blodorn who put up a really good showing tonight, Z. Cook also deserves a worthy mention.
  23. And i bet the last place he wanted to be tonight was at a miserable , wet and dreary Ipswich track 48 hours before the biggest night of his career and a possible life changing meeting. Give your head a wobble . No wonder Speedways declining if you haven't got the brains to work that one out !
  24. I would be pretty hacked off if I was a Belle Vue rider, fan, promoter and team manager, when your number one, captain and team mate puts in a performance like that.
