Similar - I’m just a week older than Doug Wyer!

Remember with Iverson was installed as Lynn's number one everyone was thinking he's not good enough and he then really stepped up as a world class rider a bit like Doyle he made the jump relatively late in his career.

Bit early for Seth to do championship hasn't had a full ndl season yet and had a big off towards the tail end of season -
Pretty certain it’s 37 points for the top 6.

Everyone expecting Jack Holder back providing he proves his fitness over the winter, is it still but one Holder get one free? I don’t see the value in Chris’ average especially if he ends up at 5. Rumours of some new faces and some that have been there a few years exiting the scene. 1 J Holder 8.75 2 Brennan 5.76 3 C Holder 7.25 4 B Cook 6.62 5 6 7 Rising Star Points limits of anything between 37-40 been mentioned, initially was told it was 40 limit will see it’s been diluted. If it’s 40 then Sheffield have 11.62 for 2 riders, if it’s 37 then 8.62 for 2 riders Think they need a strong number 5 to back up J Holder, shame former Tiger Musielak going to Northampton as would have been a good option at number 5.

I wouldn’t have thought that about Douglas either but he stepped up to be counted when taking over the number 1 race jacket and is now a 9+ rider. I’d have put them in a similar bracket before this year so it can be done. Everyone is different of course but Pickering just strikes me as that sort of confident character that would be inspired by being the main man rather than a support act. We’ll see.

Vinnie was fantastic for Poole, but maybe engines were lent to him, the highest ave he’s had was in his first few months in the champ at Poole, and the same for Hagon -
-
I’d say it’s a stronger side than if they decide to get Howarth
-
The stadium being used is a start.
-
The only problem is, he’s not good enough to be a number one. But nevertheless a great rider who gives his all.
-
Kemp needs managing. If that can be done then Ipswich will have a great rider.

I’ve always liked Riss & was happy when he joined us a few years too late mind. However with his illness you have to steer clear. Kemp the talent is certainly there, Louis didn’t persist with him due to attitude & he hasn’t really done anything to address that. Maybe & it’s a big maybe being in a team alongside Doyle possibly Bewley & having Coleman as a boss might change that. Overall I think we’d be better off with a youngster from over seas or Rushen. -

I'd take Jack Smith over any of the previously mentioned riders around a 3.00 (Foord, Perry etc) any day of the week. Particularly if the 'weaker' reserve is a 2.00 youngun. -

One thing that’s been over looked, who is the presenter going to be? Can’t have another year of Foz -
He was a quality rider and probably could have had another world title but two really bad crashes and what happened with Darcy understandably knocked the wind out of his sails. He can still do an okay job in the UK but his gp days are gone, you have to admire his courage as the injuries he's had would have finished a lot of riders.

I’d argue drew kemp has had one fantastic meeting at foxhall and rest were poor. Be interesting to see his foxhall average with and without that meeting included

This is a solid looking side. Masters & Brennan are both star riders in this league, Killeen has made improvments year after year, Gilkes can only get better, Wood at reserve again is quite strong (but beatable) Fletcher is improving fast & if McDiarmid can master the first two bends after the start its a very good side

Kemp isn't great but he's a more reliable option then others on the table. I personally look at it this way.... ERIK RISS Postive Good rider if he's fit (Big If) and he's been part of the Landshut setup with Nilsson so it's a good combination for Team spirit. Negative The illness keeps coming back so if it's him then you're playing poker because if the illness returns after others have improved GSA's then it could be a case of scrambling around for a rider on a 3 something to replace him. 4.50 YOUNGSTER Positive If they click, Then they really click to a point where you end up with a gem who makes a mockery of an assessed average. Negative They're BOOM or BUST merchants as we saw this year with Hellstrom-Bangs and if another one falls into the BUST category then it's a scramble for a replacement because with the RS not likely to score many points (If any) then it's too risky to keep the faith by running a Team with two riders not scoring points. DREW KEMP Positive Can ride Ipswich and Leicester very well and has a good few years worth of PREM experience. Negative Can be frustrating and his head does go at times.
