Birmingham v King's Lynn 11.08.25
szkocjasid replied to Petecc's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yeah, that's really sad. The thought of "finally it's over" should never be in your mind as a speedway fan / rider / promoter. -
Do they have to pick a play-off team? Imagine Ipswich could pick Birmingham. Leicester pick Oxford. Sheffield pick King's Lynn. Belle Vue seeded to the semi finals. Only the top 4 teams would know they're in the play-offs for sure, so there would still be something to race for. I was joking when I started writing this, but with Speedway you just never know!

Super Heat - Why its not right!!
szkocjasid replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thought of another flaw with the superheat scoring. Team A vs Team B has 2 draws. Team A at home wins the superheat 7-2. Team B at home (in the second leg) wins the superheat 5-4. So team B gets the bonus point despite scoring less in their superheat win. -

It's a shame that there's a feeling they're being put out of their misery, rather than going out with a bang. They definitely deserved the latter.
-
You beat me to it. Morris has publicly admitted it was a mistake and that mistake would not happen again. Absolutely no chance it’s anything other than 1st v 4th, and 2nd v 3rd. Still meetings to be raced, but looks likely it’ll be Ipswich v Belle Vue, and Leicester v Sheffield in the Semi’s.
-
And they had to move quickly when he became available before he got snapped up elsewhere and then left us in a vulnerable position at number 7.

Please no one tell him about Workington - the second-best track in the country. It's funnier with the added ignorance.
-
Workington proves my point. They closed in 2018 because it wasn't viable, they've tried to reopen and are finding again that it's not viable. Simply not enough people are interested

Glasgow v Edinburgh KO cup second leg
Fromafar replied to Weeyin's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Marcin Rempala was talent but spent most of his career getting paid for sittind in the pits in Poland getting paid more then he could earn here.I remember him winning last heat decider at Workington passing both the Workington riders with a superb move. -
Part of Regulation 10.3: “In the Premiership and Championship Leagues a rider taken out of a team through injury cannot be re-declared in that team, within 28 days.” This was introduced to stop teams from re-declaring “Willy-Nilly”, and also to be fair to whoever was brought in to replace them - hence the replacement has become known as being on a 28-Day deal. To be fair to the Witches, Jenkins had a nasty injury and it wasn’t clear how long he might be out.

King's Lynn Stars 2025
SuperStarsFan91 replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He wasn’t doing a Musielak, if he was doing a Musielak then he wouldn’t have tried to come back last month and he wouldn’t be coming back on Thursday. He’s never not wanted to ride over here, his wrist just wouldn’t allow him to as it wasn’t a normal break, his wrist was literally smashed into little pieces. It obviously has been frustrating for us Stars fans, even I have been frustrated… but that’s the truth of it 🤷🏻♂️ -

Weird, but okay… haha -
100% won’t be anything else but 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. Phil Morris knows it was a poor decision and said it wouldn’t happen again. What is interesting is the fact nobody really knows where each other will finish, and all face each other still. My money is on a late charge from Birmingham and they take it all 😁

Very good Steve! I dunno where LBW is maybe Shovvy has taken him out for the day for some flat whites. -
All of the four teams are capable of winning the play-offs, and I wouldn't write anyone off at this stage...
