  2. Probably the best there’s ever been and almost certainly better than we’ll see in the future! 1, 3, 5 in the world, a solid international rider, an emerging future Grand Prix star and a talented but inconsistent young local reserve a 2025 equivalent: zmarzlik, Bewley, j. Holder, thorsell, parnitskyi, kemp some side that
  3. One thing you can never accuse Tai of is being shy about publicity for himself, and him being back in the GP a year after almost losing his life will undoubtedly generate headlines (at least in the short run). Id wager that more non speedway fans have heard about him than they have of Zmarzlik. On recent form? He should not be near the GP. No title or even gp win since 2018, and his last three attempts have seen him finish 8th, 11th and 18th. Plus he won't have ridden competitively for the best part of 18 months by the time the 2026 season gets underway. Worth remembering 20 years ago, Tony Rickardsson had a completely unsatisfactory end to a successful world championship career as well If he proves us wrong and has a strong season, with a top 6 finish and one or two wins, brilliant. But the odds are heavily stacked against him.
  4. Dug out my aged 9-10 t-shirt from 27 years ago and jokingly held it up and said to the Mrs I reckon I can still squeeze that on you know 🤣🤣 must be a good omen the shirt is coming with me Thursday!! Uppa Witches 🧙
  5. Interestingly, looking at their 2025 averages covering all meetings, Ellis and Rew have an identical average of 6.78. Only difference is their 2025 GSA which has Ellis on 5.84, and Rew on 6.15.
  6. When you've got a 6 x World Champion who's command of the English language doesn't extend beyond "me big happy" it's no surprise that the promoters want somebody who will guarantee some media coverage with maybe the odd f-bomb dropped in for good measure. As much as he doesn't deserve to be in it on the form of the last 4 or 5 years he does on the media coverage he'll bring with his comeback from near death... so I think I'm all for it on that basis.

  9. Happy with Rew! Feels like it is still the witches team, I really like Rew and would love to see him help us lift a title after nearly doing so for us previously… this guest feels like we’ve just got our sub from the bench, rather than a guess.
  10. Taken far too soon. Condolences to all family and friends.RIP
  11. Smacks of being an attention seeking thing, wants to be a hero, look at me back from a coma to race again blah blah blah. Rather he was just remembered for being a great Champion of his time and concentrated on enjoying life with his young family.
  12. To be honest I think Ipswich need not get too complacent as it’s not over yet certainly in my eyes it’s not
  13. Ipswich 1/14 Leicester 8/1. Might chuck down 20 notes on Leicester at those prices! Hedge my bets so at least I’m compensated if we balls it up on Thursday 😁
  14. Rew will be back at Foxhall next year, so it's an obvious guest choice...
  15. There’s some interesting evenings coming up at the NSSC. 14th October. A special Ben’ Fund evening with Paul Ackroyd, Chris Van Straaten and Jan Staechmann. 28th October. An evening with Pippa Laverty who is a member of the FIM Women’s Commission and ACU Ambassador for Women. 18th November. Zach Wajtknecht. Britain’s World Long Track Champion! Everybody welcome, only £4 entry. All proceeds for the GB Young Lions except for the Ben’ Fund evening. Tapes up 8pm. Venue; Brandon Club, Main Street, Brandon, Coventry, CV8 3HW. Come and join fellow speedway fans for an evening of entertainment and chat. All details here; https://www.nuneatonspeedwaysupportersclub.co.uk
  16. I’m with you here. He was part of the heartbreak the last two years when everything seemed to go wrong for us so really pleased he gets the chance to help us try and see the job through this time.
  17. To me, this is why I love Ipswich. He didn’t get the chance to win it with us before, but he gets a second chance! So glad they asked him over anyone else, I personally would love to see him back in Witches colours long term! Get well soon Adam!
  18. He was slow to get going this year, but whenever I’ve been checking his scores during the second half of the season, he seemed to be Birmingham’s most consistent rider? Maybe I’m wrong you’ve been watching Birmingham far closer than me this year. Anyway, if we were going the guest route Rew was the one I wanted. Pretty sure he still has last years Ipswich kevlars too!
