When is Jody allowed to race again? -
I would imagine that he stuck by Kemp as based on the September averages he has put the largest percentage on his starting average. Be interesting to see who the Supporters Club give most improved rider to this year as last year Becker won the award and was the only Lion to reduce his average throughout the season!

Really enjoyed my first visit to Leicester last night, good crack with the home fans near us and nice to see so many other witches fans make the trip made a great atmosphere! flicking through the races this morning to watch again with replays etc. have to say while there was no contact Dan T was harshly excluded - olly called this on commentary saying he was taking avoiding action when he lost control. All four rider made a good start fighting for the same bit of track, basically by excluding him and not calling that first bend bunching to me the ref is saying next time don’t lock the bike up to avoid Ryan Douglas on the outside Dan just ride your normal line and send him into the fence and I’ll put all 4 back in because you bunched up.

... having said that, on a positive note he has been the most successful Leicester manager ever, winning us the league & Shield in 2019 and the Cup this year, not only that but he has made Leicester a competitive force to be reckoned with after always being a Cinderella club with some terrible manager through the years. He does seem quite charismatic, speaks his mind and is generally quite upbeat, I do feel at times though that he has a CL mentality rather than a PL one especially when it comes to rider selection at the lower end, maybe he's been a bit too loyal to riders not performing (Cook & Hagon). He called the riders out last night for "playing" on their phones and it was interesting to hear that John McGuinness also made a similar comment when he was interviewed

In fairness to Joe, it is like a decent Amateur Non League Football player being asked to play in the Premier League against some of the best in the world... Riders of Joe's level (and there are quite a few), shouldn't be riding in the top tier... Does nothing for the spectacle or the fans, and even less for them...

You just don't make that dive bomb move at Leicester it never ever works on turn 3 (it can do on turn 1), it's not Sheffield, if you watch the coverage you'll see that every other rider backed off from making that same move during the meeting because it just does not work, everybody else knew this and just because it's a pay off final does not mean that all of a sudden it is going to work.

Went down last night lot bigger crowd than the final last year. problem getting a good viewing point when that busy, eventually got up against fence middle 3/4 bend, no speaker working there. got a cracking view of Adams move up the inside was, but he was going a bit too fast to make that pass stick, even if he stayed on. I didn't feel the atmosphere it should of had but, i suppose because i was a neutral.

The leading riders were on lap three when the race was stopped with a considerable gap between the two Leicester riders and the remaining Ipswich rider. In awarding the race the referee concluded that the third placed rider had little or no chance of catching & passing the either of the Lions riders ahead of him. In making such decisions the referee does not take consider hypothetical scenarios such as the remaining riders could fall or suffer engine failure. It was the correct decision and a shame the commentators fail to understand that it’s not when a rider falls but the position of the leading rider that determines the state of the race.

Friday afternoon here in Aus, and we've just watched the coverage. I would say that Ellis was caught out by the patchy track in his first ride ... hardly kamikaze. Is he expected to hold back in a Grand Final? No doubt if he had settled for the inside line, there'd be criticism that he didn't try the outside 🙄 To others calling for a rerun: the ref didn't put the lights on until the leader had started the third lap, and the Regs allow a race to be awarded from that point ...

We were robbed of more box office action there! I’ve no doubt Emil would have hunted down those in front of him the way he was going. May not have caught Fricke this time, but would have certainly put him under pressure as he was far quicker all night. Emil was a bit unfortunate actually. Douglas locked up in front of him and made it difficult for Emil to avoid him.

OK,so Woffinden being picked is surprising to some but at least it fits the definition of wildcard, rather than just the next three after the top 7. -
I dont think we saw the best version of Leicester last night but much of that is down to Ipswich's performance and not allowing the Lions to be at their best. The reserves were the main difference, Kemp is such a frustrating enigma. Emil and Brennan were outstanding, the former was unfortunate in 15 when Douglas parked it in front of him. The second leg ought to be a formality but if Leicester make some starts and get an early lead it could get interesting. Expect the Witches to hit 50 though and have it won before heat 15.
