  1. Past hour
  2. Agree keeping grounded is important at such a young age. It's equally important us fans need to be patient with these lads, and not put pressure on them from the off. Hopefully they will be with us in years to come.
  3. And how many would shell out £20k plus to kit themselves out and then commit to being anywhere between Glasgow and Plymouth on any day of the week for £50 a point?
  4. I forgot his average but what average would Scott Nicholls be on again? Dream tail end would be Nicholls, Jenkins and Edwards @ 2, 6 & 7.
  5. Yes both these lads should have big futures and be core England regulars in 5-6 years time, just need to stay grounded, not take on to much to soon and most importantly avoid big injuries, one of the reasons Hancock and Nielson went on so long was they didn't have many really bad smashes , all be it Hancock got lucky when he got his hand stuck in Neils mudguard.
  6. I definately think theres more to come from Becker he is the perfect build for a speedway rider I think he just needs an ex top level old hand to help him get up a couple of rungs on the ladder.
  7. Janowski really?? He was shocking everywhere last season & worse than shocking at Foxhall
  8. Today
  9. 1. T Brennan 7.05 2. M Janowski 6.06 3. R Lawson 6.83 4. L Becker 6.88 5. T. Musielsk 6.63 6. J. Jenkins 3.46 (25% Discount) 7. J. Edwards (R/S) 36.91
  10. Average too high, ok when making the start but poor in traffic/first bend.
  11. Storm Goretti has nothing on the storm Garrity has created... I'll get me coat 🥼
  12. Not sure about Belle Vue but the figures published are as follows: Warsaw 48k , Vojens 19.90k , Wroclaw 13.50k, Torun (SoN & SoN2) 13.10k, Gorzow 12.50k, Prague 11.50k (inc SGP3), Manchester 11.50, Melilla 8.70k, Landshut 7.8k and Riga (inc SGP 2) 6.70k Appreciate what you say about the venues but it does seem that live attendances might be in decline and that is not good news if the plans were to spread it around other non European stadia. Maybe fans are tired of the format and that in reality you are not seeing the top sixteen riders in the world. Whatever the reasons it is failing to ignite the enthusiasm which once surrounded the world championship.
  13. I’ve been watching a bit of the Aussie series on BSN and he does look much improved. However, I don’t think he goes well anywhere other than the NSS. I’d prefer to see `Becker and Lawson rather than Lindsey and King
  14. believe the Saturday was but Friday there were still tickets available.
  15. Size of venue to suit particular Country is the main concern.Guaranteed big at attendance in Poland but in is not guaranteed in other Countries ,so creating one off tracks in Bigger Sporting venues is risky as Cardiff proved. They choose venue that theythought the could fill.Pricing has to be set accordingly. Was Belle Vue total sell out last year? It wasn’t for the 2 day SON.
  16. Absolutely pathetic news from the AGM. Expected though. This sticking plaster announcement could have been made in November. They've been sitting on their hands for the last two months it seems waiting for a television deal to ride in on a white charger. Nothing about the shambles the sport is in now and how they hope to change it mid to long term, no transparency. Looking forward to things being even more grim this time next year and yet another bodge it AGM taking absolutely no accountability for the shower of sh** that is British Speedway nowadays.
  17. and copious amounts of double uppers.
  18. And all that ignores the fundamental reason Birmingham wheels was set up in the first place and that should never change, I was one of those kids who it kept off the streets, not everyone likes football or athletics or any other corporate entity that is forced into our psyche,?I know the campaigners will loose but it’s not about speedway or stock cars,,it’s about corruption at council level
  19. All this and that's it's important to remember one thing above all. Yes we have club legends and they will be remembered for all eternity. However as I said before the promoters are custodians passing through and the interests of the club it's history and it's brand MUST come before everything above all.
  20. In this week’s Star they have published the attendance figures for all the GPs and coming out on top was Warsaw with 48k. All the rest were under 20k with Manchester getting a combined 11.5k for the two days. Three GPs got under 10k. With all the costs involved etc it is a wonder anyone can make it pay. For the sports premier event you have to say the attendance figures are poor.
  21. It seems that DPP who the planning agents are claiming that they have satisfied all the requirements for the redevelopment of the Abbey stadium even though the status of the Studley is unknown. Interesting article in this weeks Star and some of their arguments including using the current state of the sport in this country to justify why permission should be given. The one hope is that the Council stick to their guns and refused to budge on the issue of a replacement facility. Sad that people like Clarke Osborne are allowed to walk on this earth.
  22. What are everyone's thoughts on Jaimon Lidsey 7.87? Been good in Australia and I think he's a rider who's only going to improve but the Foxhall record is a bit patchy however he wouldn't be riding against track specialists in every heat like he has been doing when competing as a visiting rider for Belle Vue.
  23. Teams instead now flooded wih mediocre europeans and australian riders.
  24. Jonas Jeppesen is the rider i'd be going for at No.6.
  25. There are your missing riders for one big league, too late now though.
