Oxford Spires vs Leicester Lions PLR2 25/09/25 19:30
Fullmax replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Congratulations to the Leicester Lions . Winners of the Premier League 2025. They've won more meetings than any other team and lost less meetings than any other team. But this is British speedway at its finest and apparently that counts for nothing. Lets concoct a weird scoring system that seems them finish 3rd , even though the 2 teams above them have an inferior record!! đ€ -
I think assets for clubs went out the window, must agree though, that Lawson ain't going anywhere, loves it at Poole

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Son of Shaleman replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
North will have too many teams compared with south. Iwade, Poole and Plymouth donât make a league. They are truly southern. Suppose if you add in the east angles you get to 5 . -
A huge difference between not giving your team everything in a play off semi final as opposed to a nothing end of season filler Was obviously just done as a favour to Sheffield so that they didn't suffer financially from 1) having to secure the stadium as a reserve in case of the need to stage their leg of the play off semi or 2) being fined for not completing their fixtures I agree though that it is far from ideal and would look suspect under scrutiny if the sport was actively pursuing professional integrity and transparency

Lawson is an asset of the club as that was part of the basso deal a couple of years ago in a straight swap. Kawson ainât going anywhere he loves it at Poole and only recently moved in the area.
-
Or he might be settled at Poole

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It depends -
With only those 4 teams capable of fielding a side strong enough to realistically win a SWC, it would make more sense to make the competition a 4 round affair with a leg in each country, a finale in Australia coupled with a SGP now that would be something worth watching đ

Think he's a certainty for Poole (If they move up) on his very low average. Shadow of his former self though. -
No assets steve so lawson could be tempted away by a big offer
-
They must have a notebook filled out with different team line ups considering all the different scenarios next season could bring! Oxford implying heavily it's one league. On the other hand you have Ipswich and BV probably trying to get anyone to move up, so they can continue with the Prem. Interesting winter ahead..
-
Probably not a big deal, as there are only going to be 2 Oxford teams next season theyâll prob switch to a week night again. I didnât notice any particular improvement on attendance doing Sundays, which is a shame as a win tomorrow and theyâll be League Champions again đ€CâMON THE CHARGERS!!! đ„

Jack Holder has signed a contract whereas if he does decide to go elsewhere he would personally have to pay ÂŁ100,000 to get out of his contract with Stal. This is the only way Holder can get out of signing for Stal next season, or if Stal gets relegated. His contract is worth ÂŁ225,000, and ÂŁ2,100 a point, if he breaks his contract he is ordered to pay half to Stal.

So after making up lies about Brady the Ipswich trolls then support their own team not bothering including one that couldnât even be bothered to turn up. A clear indication of a troll is the elasticated morals and totally biased nonsense they trot out. Pick a lane and stick to it as youâd get more respect and appear less troll like if you didnât yo-yo your opinions based on the riders involved. I presume youâre just looking for reaction all the time which in itself marks you out as a wrong âun. For all the true Witches fans I still hope you pull of the win that is needed after so so long but when I think of the riders, management and trolls I hope they lose big. Shame John Louis isnât around as he would not put up with this. A true great that I had the good fortune to meet in the pits following the Superama at Hackney back in the 80âs. Top fella sadly missed.

Well done to Sheffield for topping the table. Best team in the league over the season and even more remarkable given the injury to Tai at the start of the season. You need commending for how you got on with the task of finishing top following that set back. No continued bleating about your misfortune or spouting what you would have won like some teams from down south where weâve had to endure the same all this season as well being told they will take all before them. True class Sheffield and a lesson to those that are lacking in that department. Fingers crossed to more war of the roses encounters and seeing the bend two barmy army at the NSS again.

SWC 2026 location
PersonalResponsibility replied to ozzie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Poland already seeded leaves the other final spot between GB/Australia/Denmark, realistically. I wonder what odds you'd get on the 'draw' for the SWC semis splitting up whichever two sides get there? Hard to see anything else than a GB/Australia/Denmark/Poland final already. I'm sure it makes sense from a financial perspective, less so from a sporting one. -
